TOPIC: Looking to buy things for Gold

If anyone has any items they are interested in selling for GP, please let me know. I have some gold that is buring a hole in my pocket. I am mainly looking for items with a value 25 GP or over on the pricelist.

My question is, once we trade things for gold, what do we do with the gold then? From what I read, the blacksmith, etc, was going to have "mundane" items. If my gold can only be used to by the more common stuff I have, what would be my incentive to amass gold?

For those who wish to take their TD experience another step further, perhaps a bard or wench that has sung a song well or served you well deserves a tip (using your GP). You never know, they might have a clue to the dungeon too.

I can certainly understand that, but I'm not going to tip them the hundreds of gold pieces I have. I'm just trying to determine if I would ever want to receive gold as part of a trade when I already have alot of it.

I thought one of the stores was going to be an apothecary. Don't know if you'll be able to buy a +1 longsword there, but you probably can get things like a scroll of light and potions of healing. Most people would think it nice to buy 3 potions of healing. And, let's say, I'm wrong, and that they only have common potions, just get 15 potions of minor healing, doing the same thing.
On the other hand, IF you can buy a +1 longsword there, and you dumped all your gold tokens, thinking them valueless, that would be disappointing. I am taking a middle ground. I am playing a rogue, and my wife a paladin. We are keeping all the tokens that relate to our players and trading away our extras, often for gold, in the thought that we are not using those tokens anyways, so someone might as well get a chance to use them. And, when GenCon actually comes around, if we can use the extra gold to get some cool magic items, great. In addition, there's that hint that you might be able to do something cool with one of the gems somewhere in the game.

I imagine that the Apothacary will have access to all the recycled potions and scrolls. At least I hope so.

On the other hand, I am plan on keeping some gold and gems but I have more gold than I need.
