TOPIC: Sept. 29th Update on Token Ship Date

Well...today is the day that Treasure Token pre-orders open, so I thought it would be best to give you the very latest on the projected date on which token pre-orders will ship. Sadly, it is not good news.

My best guess now is that shipping for pre-orders will now not begin until AFTER Gamehole Con. This is because our container is in some "forgotten zone" within the holding area at the port of LA. The average dwell time at that port for a container now is about seven days. Ours has been there for 30 days -- awaiting a train to Chicago. I am told by experts that this some times happens, and that the only thing you can do is have patience.

I am very sorry for getting everyone's hopes up for token use at Gamehole Con. It looks like that is not going to happen. My apologies.

We will announce later this week our plans to allow turn-ins for Coin of Wealth transmuting...where you would get some kind of voucher to use later along with your upcoming Bead of Need. Stay tuned while we get all the VTD swag out over the next few days.

I did have some players buy into some auctions for Trade Goods to build recipes that expire Dec 1st. If shipments take much longer, is it possible to extend the date range on those? I may be able to cover them from my own stash for those circumstances but I know I might not be the only one it affects.

Second this question/request. We closed a bunch of auctions on the new site and I don't have the TGs to cover it. Or maybe a split shipping of Trade Goods and then the "rest" (2027 Specific) of it?

Unfortunately, unless I receive my order, I also won't have enough trade goods to make the CoW. So it's not just about lacking Bead of Need.

If you could deliver trade goods and Bead of Need IOUs at GHC, and ship the rest later, that would work.

I would think extending the December 1st relic deadlines would be easy to do and help keep people happy.

Our shipping luck was bound to run out sometime. Bummer that it happened this year, but international shipping is not something TD can control. Thank you for keeping us updated and fingers crossed the container gets on a train soon.

P.S. I know it would add a lot of complexity for TDHQ, but if there is anything that can be done about relic expirations and partial delivery at GHC for folks who need the TGs to finish transmutes, that would be great.

Jeff, thanks for letting everyone know, and for working to come up with workarounds for the CoW.

As someone who planned the trip around making the CoW, I'm definitely disappointed, but it's not like anything can be done about it now.

I also 2nd the idea of shifting the Dec 1st transmute cutoff this year back, due to the shipping problems, as people ordered or bid in auctions in order to make tokens for this cutoff.
