TOPIC: FINAL: New "Enhanced Trade 2" Option for $8k Super Condensed Packs

Thanks everyone for the helpful feedback! I agree that a longer timeframe of averages is a better method to use when determining token values. Based on Scott Kwiker's idea with data collected at td-auctions.com we have created this final listing of the new option's offering.

IMPORTANT: This is an OPTION for folks to pick. The standard option will still be available.

Wow, this looks a whole lot better as a secondary option, thanks Scott for all the work for advocating a way to get more of TG2 into the market, while also providing us still with some TG1 so that the market won't swing in the other direction as much. This should help out everyone.

Jeff, that looks much better! I was concerned with the previous option that if the price of OE and EB went down nobody would be using it. I think this is a great option for people to get and I think it will be very popular! I think this is going to clear out a lot of Trade Item bottlenecks including Alchemist's Ink and Enchanter's Munitions.

I hope you're leaving the door to doing this past this year if it proves really successful.

Really like this revised version AND having a choice between it and the original super-condensed formula. I think the revised version will be really popular, but wouldn’t be surprised if some people stick with the original flavor. Thanks to all who worked on this!

If going to say AG is about $10, why not just leave AG number the same and have the calculated values be nearly equal?

Not like AG are hard to find or should become even more common. AG have declined massively in value and aren't used much. I didn't make more for a long time because I found them largely useless and had plenty already. I only bothered to make more to get rid of the massive amounts of rares in my weapon/armor bag. I could still liquidate weapons/armor I'll never use if I thought I needed more AG and, of course, will just accumulate more components from treasure.

Aragonite steadily went up as the year went on, and while there isn't as much of a shortage at the moment, if we're adjusting things, might as well make sure it doesn't become a bottle neck in the future.

AG used to be $20, $25, $30. Could say anything could be a bottleneck. Once upon a time AI was, EM was, PS was. I'm really not going to be worrying about AG going up in value, if for some reason it does.

Came up with this "let's balance value" calculation, where all of this is largely arbitrary, and arbitrarily decided second option should be worth more by nearly the exact amount of the AG difference.

Since this change is being made based of secondary market issues, I would like for this to be a limited time option. I do not feel that adjusting this sets a good precedent and it should be well stated if this is going to be a permanent option or a temporary on, or a moving one similar to the Omni items where it is always subject to change. I really liked the trade option that Impy made, it is easier to put a expiration on a trade recipe. Adjusting things to satiate the secondary market can be a slippery and shady slope.

Agree 100%. I'd say one time only then after that TD could always go to a "Turn in X number of Trade Good 1's to get a Trade Good 2" and so on.

They have already stated that this is a 1 time offering, and aren't planning on doing this again, at least for several years, in case it's needed again.
