TOPIC: Safeholds and making them post Safehold 1 release.

If I'm not mistaken, the odd/even month cadence of Safehold Under Construction and Safehold creation ends once Safehold 1 becomes available this month. Is there a possibility of combining both the Under Construction and Making the next level of Stronghold in one mail order, similar to what can be done at conventions.

For example, someone with a Stronghold 2 could send both the materials for SH1 Under Construction and the bars to make a SH1 at the same time, saving on shipping for the player and shipping for TD HQ? Could combine the two recipes into 1 as an alternate recipe to make things easier, if that's possible.

Just an idea I had.

The odd and even months will always be in affect because that was the intent for after Safehold I is available, to simulate the effort that has been undertaken currently as each one became available. Previously collectors had to wait several months between releases, so this was done to prevent exactly what you are referring to, where someone could go from 5 to 1 in a single month with back and forth transmutes.

I know that was the previous intent, but I believe that is being lifted now that Safehold 1 is available. I could be wrong, but since someone can do what I am proposing at conventions, it could possibly be something that could be done for online transmutes as well.

It's something to consider, at least, rather than just completely shut down, as it's all available now.

Why do you think that?

From the Safehold program details, page 6:

After the Above Start Dates Pass
No doubt there are going to be collectors who come
late to the party, and weren’t around at the initial start
dates to make these Safehold tokens. We therefore
created some rules which simulate some building
delay in the making of Safeholds. With this system, it
takes a new collector nearly a year to finally
construct a SAFEHOLD I token.
All tiers of SAFEHOLD (UNDER CONSTRUCTION)
tokens can only be created in transmute orders paid
for during “odd” months of the year (e.g., January,
March, May, etc.). SAFEHOLD tokens (not of the
Under Construction variety) can only be included in
transmute orders generated during the “even” months
of the year. The date TD HQ receives your order does
not matter—only the date the order was finalized.

Could have sworn I saw something in a safehold discussion on discord about the restriction of what safehold parts can be made once Safehold 1 becomes available. Don't get me wrong, I could be wrong here, but I'm having a hard time finding a downside here, unless people want to punish others that got in late to the party here. Not everyone can drop hundreds of dollars to show up at every con and do this kind of thing in person. I'm merely suggesting we can possibly speed things up a bit on the mailing side, makes it easier on everyone for shipping, and causes less points of issue from the USPS.

Do TBTP make posts on the Discord?

You certainly could have seen something like that - but people misinterpret or misremember things all the time - someone might have said something wrong over there (or here).

I've seen posts from here pop up, and Grunnel does post there from time to time. Can't say for certain who mentioned that the restrictions for making Safeholds goes away when SH1 becomes available, but it's been a thing that's been mentioned on there before.
