TOPIC: Splitting an $8K Pre-order

Thinking about a $1K or $2K pack this year? Forget about it—don’t sub-optimize!

Ever thought about buying one, but decided you were better off just jumping in on a Trent auction? I get it—I’ve felt the same way. That’s why I’m exploring something different.

I’m planning to organize a split on a direct $8K preorder and will do my best to structure it so it’s worthwhile compared to the auctions. The goal is that each contributor walks away with at least a Mark of the 2nd Tenet, a Ring of the 2nd Circle, a handful of PYPs, and a fair share of trade goods and pre-order goodies.

Minimum buy-in: $1K.

Scott, wouldn't the minimum buy-in need to be $2K if everyone is going to get a Mark of the Tenet?

Great question — under normal circumstances, yes, you’d need four people at the $2K level to guarantee enough Marks.

That said, I’ve already asked Jeff if there’s any flexibility in adjusting the order contents for an eight-way $8K split. While he didn’t exactly say “yes,” he also didn’t shut the door on the idea 🤞. So I’m optimistic, but want to be clear this is still TBD.

And just to be transparent: I’m planning on keeping the Golden Ticket. So… if I needed to personally supplement the $8K with a couple of Marks to make this happen, I’d likely do so.

I also floated the idea of swapping out the Path of Enlightenment fragment (since it doesn’t really divide well eight ways) if we get a full group together. If someone did want to jump in at the $2K level, that’d give us even more room to play with how we divvy things up.

I could see a split like this with participants C & D splitting the trade goods and random URs. It of course could be split other ways. And I know nobody is going to agree on the values I assigned each item. This is only meant to be an example of how it could work. We also don't know what the exact distribution will be next year.

I think a preorder for 2026 tokens would be 1st and 1st and 4th fragment. A regular order right now would be for what you said.
