TOPIC: Silly loophole for Ring Initiate Power on Skull of Cavadar?

Silly loophole for Ring Initiate Power on Skull of Cavadar? 23 hours 47 minutes ago #1

I was reading the text for the Ring Initiate Power on Skull of Cavadar (entire text quoted below), and noticed something odd.

The power allows you to "swap out one ring you're currently wearing and replace it with another ring you possess" subject to some restrictions.

Notably, the restrictions listed do not require that you be able to equip the incoming ring under normal conditions, e.g. that it's useable by your class.

Now, this seems like an oversight to me, and one that should be corrected - or maybe the overarching rule of "you have to be able to equip tokens you want to use" is intended to cover this case implicitly.

But, in case this does let you play fast and loose with those rules here is a subset of the mischief people could get up to:

Clerics, Druids, (and Rangers!) could swap in Ring of Expertise
Bards, Wizards, (and Rangers!) could swap in Ring of Quick Blessing
Everyone could swap in Ring of Direct Insults (-2 melee damage from Taunted monster attacks - it doesn't say _you_ have to be the one that taunted the monster).

The full Ring Initiate power description from tokendb.com/token/skull-of-cavadar/ is pasted below:
