TOPIC: What Tokens Do You Find Fun For In-Person Events?

As we get closer to some of the in-person events. I wanted to see what some of the fun items people use are. I'm sure there are a few interesting ones that others may not know of, that would be worth sharing with the group.

And I know fun is defined differently for each person, but I tend to lean towards the goofy tokens that put smiles on peoples faces, or make the DM's facepalm

A couple of my favorites to start:
Dagger of Arcane Luck - Wizard only dagger that lets you slide a second puck to help knock things around on the table. I like to use this one when I play with newer players and go last to help out the ones that didn't quite slide far enough. Doesn't really do damage but tosses a bit of chaos into the mix.

Polymorph Potion Shark - Because who doesn't like the idea of a fish flopping around on dry land. Or imagining something like Great White from the DC comics.

Gib Gub's Handy Acorn - I love the idea of this weapon. It counts as a thrown Shuriken so when paired with Ring of the Drake (or a Monk) it gets the returning effect so you can throw it infinite times!

I'm looking forward to introducing some Grunnel's Fruitcakes at GenCon!

Scroll Rain Shower is perfect for creative casters. Invisible foe? Rain Shower will outline it for the whole party. Enemy using Mirror Image? Cast Rain Shower and target the one image whose feet splash in the water. Evil mage reading from a spellbook? Books do poorly in the rain. And of course there's always raining on fire creatures.

Any caster can use it -- even Paladins and Rangers -- and if you put it in a Tome of Useful Scrolls, you only have to buy one token.

Polymetric Decoy (duck). It's whatever you convince the DM it is

Playing mainly ranged builds I love using ammo tokens or other single use weapons.

Last year I had a blast (pun not intended) using Grenado and Gambler's Grenade in some final combat rooms, especially if I'm nerfing myself for lower difficulty than I'm otherwise geared for. The first time I used one at GHC the DM did a double take and had to really read the text in the puck. "I don't think I've ever seen someone actually use one of these before. Um...the Bard pulls out a jar and shakes it up before lobbing it at the monster, making a fizzing sound as it flies through the air, and it smashes right into its face and knocking it backwards!"

I love it when the ranger in my party uses Arrow of Ricochet in rooms with more than one monster. Watching the DM turn to note 10 pts of damage on the other combat board is delightful.

Always excited to think of whether a Ghost Accelerator can be used in a room.

Flask of Sharing / Lotus Blossom Bowls are fun for teamwork.

One of our late great TD players, I believe Chip Bowles did runs occasionally with Stu's +3 Handy Stein, and a large physical plastic mug full of potion tokens and drink 2 at random at the start of each combat and roleplay the effects.

Some great unique items here. I’ll likely pick up a few scrolls like the Rain Shower for this GenCon to interact with the environment a little, and I like the ideas mentioned above.

Also: The Uncommon Ring of Truth. Wearer is unable to tell a lie. Waiting for a good opportunity to give it to an NPC ....
