TOPIC: Transmuting: Charm of Avarice First?

Transmuting: Charm of Avarice First? 4 weeks 8 hours ago #1

I have enough tokens where I believe I am ready to start the transmuting phase of my TD adventure. It seems like Charm of Avarice should be at the top of my list (more treasure means more materials for transmuting). Any thoughts on other recipes I should consider?

Nope, you've got it correct.

Note that if you wanted to dive in, you could purchase virtually any transmute for far less than the cost of its components.

Thank you. As there are not any other responses, Charm of Avarice is the goal.

Charm of Avarice makes sense if you're going to do enough runs long term for the extra pulls to make sense. As others have posted above it's near if not always cheaper to buy a transmute for cheaper than component parts. That said i like the transmute process as it lets me save up with my treasure pulls that get mulched and i can work towards various transmutes i want vs paying upfront/lumpsum.

I've had a few folks in my long term group who for Avarice doesn't make sense as they only play one or 2 runs a year (Gen Con) and from pure fun factor it's been far better for them to spend their limited token money on cool to them URs and other tidbits.
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven
