TOPIC: Reprinting old relics in new style

Reprinting old relics in new style 1 year 4 months ago #1

There are a number of relics from before the current dark blue style. Is it possible to get them reprinted with recipes that only allow turning in the old version of the token? Do people even want this? Personally, I would enjoy having consistent colors/appearances.

I like the old style myself.

I would love to see them in the blue back style so they stick out for me, but I also love unity of my tokens.

I'm down for seeing them reprinted, especially staples like greater cloak of destiny, bit IMO I'd keep my original

I don’t want to transmute the old ones, though I’d love reprints of VSF’s in dark blue. I WOULD transmute given the opportunity, though forcing would be sad.

Jeff said he would never reprint the Relic's.

This is true, but he did leave wiggle room in that he said they might do something functionally similar

ie old Greater Cloak of Destiny: +4 Saves -> could become -> Greater Cloak of Modernity : +4 saves, and Counts as Greater Cloak of Destiny for transmutes.

There is already some president since COA say it grants the effect of specific old items.

I wasn't imagining a new recipe to re-release old relics. Just a reprint with an optional exchange, kind of like when they added RFID to COA but optional. If this was done over a number of years, a few from the current year could be tossed in the treasure mix.
