TOPIC: Dividers for poker chip-token cases

Dividers for poker chip-token cases 3 years 1 month ago #1

After digging through bags of consumables, i've decided to buy a poker chip case to hold and organize those tokens in my collection. Does anyone who uses these types of things have a good suggestion for dividers that can be labelled. I can go with the standard piece of paper sticking out but wondered if something a bit sturdier was available and used with success by forumites. Thanks for any suggestions. I need to be able to easily see where my healing potions end and the ones with extra effects like removing paralysis begin. :cheer:

I use blank poker chips (pink so they're easily noticed) and write on them.

Thanks, Trent. That can definitely work. Have Sharpie, will travel.

I use poker chips as dividers. I even printed tiny stickers for their sides (rare weapons, uncommon armor, common scrolls, etc). Yes, the added poker chips take up some space that could otherwise be used for more tokens, but I think it’s worth it for prettiness. I’ll have to take a picture of it when I get home in a few days.

Not sure where else you can get them, but the the Too Many Bones Trove Chest from Chip Theory Games came with these great plastic dividers. You might be able to ask their support team or in the forums/Facebook page to fin a source

I went to "Ben Franklin's" or "Hobby Lobby" and just grabbed a bunch of wooden chips (basically blank wooden tokens) of the comparable size. there are many ways to make them work. my best recommendations are:

1. just write on the chip what they are marking.
2. write on a piece of paper and clear tape to chip - reusable as needed.
3. same as above, but make it a strip of paper that extends above the row of tokens with the text easily readable laying over the tokens being marked.

I found that a lot of inexpensive poker chip sets come in red/green/black/white, so I used those to divide up each type of trade good (white) then segment within using black/green/red for c/uc/r. Could likely make the different trade goods a bit easier to differentiate with some sort of labeling, but it works for my purposes.

I currently use silver back commons to separate my trade good.

I would love to 3d print some dividers with the names embedded in them, but I don't have a printer.. yet?
