TOPIC: 5,000 GP Mithril Bar question

I could not find an answer through searching, so I knew I would be helped here. And more than likely be made fun of LOL

When transmuting gold into a 5K bar, does it need to be 5 1K bars, or 5,000 total GP? I was prepping other transmutes to be sent in with my honeycomb, and realized I would be making a 1K bar and a 5K bar. Seemed like I could combine the transmutes by keeping one of the 1K bars and sending the 1,000 loose GP with the r 1K bars.

What I like to do is collect the old 1,2,3,4 and 5gp tokens. Then save them up and send it in for a 25k bar. You can hear the yelling from Carbondale all

I have a few 5 gp tokens. But not as part of this transmute.
