TOPIC: Lenses of Divine Sight and Carters Tomb of Insight

This hasn't really come up before for me because mostly I use carters to cast an extra prayer for lots of combat but I actually needed to use it for healing for a run this weekend.

So since Carters cast it as a scroll so you get either 13 or 16 base because of of skill check, since LEDS now applies to scrolls and this is being cast as a scroll do you get the extra 2 to heal on it?

"cast as scroll" is misleading. It means "receives no bonuses" not "receives scroll bonuses"

No, because things that are cast as scroll are not modified by things that modify scrolls. See Ring of the Siren as precedent.

Lenses of Divine Sight now clearly states Spells "cast as a scroll" are not eligible.

I thought the question was going to be whether you can split Carter's healing with LoDS from reading the subject.

Thats a good point, I assumed you always can split your healing no matter the source with LODS.

Druegar just changed this to spell out specifically it's a no-no:

"Healing Spells and scrolls (not spells “cast as a scroll” nor miscellaneous magic items) cast by the wearer heal +2 HP. In addition, any healing Spell or scroll cast by the wearer may be divided between two targets."
