With my lastest order I am pretty close to be able to turn one of my relics into Legendary for the group, I just cannot decide which legendary to make.

Though this will mostly be used when I play with my group with whomever plays which every class I give it to, occasionally I do join forumites and play whatever is needed.

I have the components (UR's, rares and relics) to make any Legendary I don't already have, though I might be short on a few trade goods that I will pick up.

Currently we have the both the legendary plate and mail, the staff, the cloak, girdle ((I do have the components to eventually make another of these last 3 but that is for some future date) and CoA's.

I am leaning toward Aron's Sunhide Robe, Drue's +5 Baton of Focus, or Relsa's Ring of Supreme Focus. I have the components to make multiple of these (also the protection ring and mithral bracers), which is why I am leaning towards them vs any of the weapons which I only have enough for 1 of each.

The ring is probably the most versatile out of the three as it would work for any caster (and with the relic ring). The robe will allow me to have the best legendary armor for any class (include the plate and mail). The baton might see the most use, as we don't always have a wizard in our group, but always have a druid or cleric (going forward we will always have both).

So looking for thoughts between these 3 or a convincing argument for a different legendary.

Out of the ones your leaning towards, I agree with the ring. If you can make any legendary I'd be tempted to lean towards the bard instrument.

I wholeheartedly concur.

If you regularly have a bard in your party, I agree that's that's a good investment.

I guess I should have added I am not able YET to make any of the new (2019) legendaries, as I don't have the components YET. I buy mostly PYP of the previous year so if I don't double up on UR I want either from the Random UR's in orders or from Treasure pulled. So I could make the bard instrument, but it would likely mean I will need to wait till next year. That said, since I will be able to make it from 2nd recipe, I shouldn't have to wait long to build of trade goods once I do have the relic (which I usually have to do).

I do agree with you both it is probably the best for my party (even if I never use it outside of my party).

100% agree with above. I understand that may be next years dilemma.

I’m about to make the Ring. I think it’s the best choice of the ones you have listed.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

Another +1 for the Ring. More flexible than the baton.

Also +1 for the bard instrument. A party buff of that magnitude is no joke.

If you are planning on equipping both the Relic and Legendary ring, then that. If it is a straight upgrade (I guess it depends how many Relic rings you have) removing the Relic and replacing it with the Legendary, I might actually go with the Baton instead. The Baton is awesome on Cleric. I often end up sliding as Cleric when I don't need to do any healing, so the Baton nicely buffs your melee damage also.

I am holding off on the Legendary Robe personally unless/until the INT and CHA become relevant.
Classes Played: Barbarian (65 times), Monk (56), Ranger (33), Rogue (25), Cleric (21), Fighter (13), Druid (12), Paladin (11), Dwarf Fighter (10), Bard (7), Elf Wizard (2), Wizard (2)

I'm making the same call re: Aron's. Just sitting on the components for now.

I'm personally making the bard instrument, since that will almost single-handedly get my regular group into Hardcore and beyond.

I think the flexibility of the ring is a big plus going for it, if you regularly kit several people out (don't know your situation).

Cha is sorta relevant. You can equip two figurines with some classes.

Yeah. 3 vs 5 INT doesn't matter though right now.

Don’t know if you had the old LoDS, but Ring and/or Baton (not to mention Gregor’s) will help mitigate the nerf.
