I'm looking for a better storage solution than this. Any suggestions?

You could try a poker chip case I've seen many of the token venders use them.

I've also seen stackable poker chip trays.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of the poker chip cases. I have multiple of each that I personally use, and they're really sturdy and great!

What's wrong with your storage?

I would look into a 500 or 1000 token poker case personally, found it for $20 on amazon a few years back and I love mine. It isn’t as nice as the ones from the two token sellers but it holds quantity better. Personally a quantity over quality for storage kind of guy. My characters are slowly going into Dansco binders, the opposite of the cheep haul it all solution.

Token storage all depends on what you want it for.

Personally I use several methods. And a few i tried did not work out for me. Below is what I do today.

A whitman binder for specific builds while on runs at gen con. They are very compact and easily hold a full legendary build. For those with more modest builds, they could hold two or three.

A token sash for tokens that are 1/room or game, potions, etc.

Several (10-12) 100 poker chip trays for organizing the trade goods and other tokens that are in my safe. These tokens never make it to gen con and only get accessed occasionally throughout the year. I keep one tray filled with tokens listed on my trade post for easy access.

A poker chip cube (holds 10, 100 chip trays). I call this the Onyx Archive. Been storing every C/UC/R Onyx set I had access to since I started TD. It should let any friend wanting to play any class on hardcore. Nobody has ever taken me up on it.

So consider what your personal issue/goal is with your token setup and look for a tool to solve it. No one solution works for all cases (oh the pun!). Hope this helps.

Define “storage.”

Ideas to consider:

17-compartment craft/bead boxes work great, hold over 200 tokens and sell for $2-3 at Walmart or almost any craft store.

Some pill bottles hold a few dozen and can be free. Ask your friends and relatives to save them for you. Ask for child-hostile caps if possible, unless you have kids in the house. Childproof ones are a pain.

Silver Eagle coin tubes are also useful.

Well you can put them all in treasure chests. That's what t I do....






Inside of which I use all kinds of storage, from token bags, zip lock bags, leather cases, and at the bottom of the big chest is a Plano clear plastic case somewhat similar to the one in the original post.

The leather cases are for builds, and stuff I bring to GenCon. The token bags are for pins, and some special groups of tokens. Zip lock bags are for transmuting trade goods, and sets of tokens by year (excluding UR's), and the Plano box is for organizing the rest of the collection. There's a surprising number of tokens in the bottom of the small chest in long rows taking up the whole bottom.

SoulKage - do you happen to have a link to the exact Whitman binders you use? I just picked up 2x of the binders that Trent carries but would love to see the other options.

A bunch of storage cases like this, as well as lots of the tubes, is what I use. Plus a couple of binders and a couple token wallets for the character tokens at GenCon. My bulk token storage isn't that efficient for traveling, but it doesn't need to be because the only tokens I bring to Gencon are the ones our characters use, and baggies with tokens for transmuting or for prearranged trades.
