TOPIC: Ring of Heroism Expiration Date

Could we get the TokenDB ( tokendb.com/token/ring-of-heroism/ ) entry for Ring of Heroism updated with the new expiration date? Was it extended a whole year?

And, just to throw it out there - if it was extended a year, should it maybe also accept 2017 Completion Tokens?

The transmute page (not the tokendb) just says 2013+ so I would assume if the ring is available for transmute when 2017 completion tokens happen they would be fine.

Whether accurate or not, many people left GenCon with the impression that the date was being extended as the supply ran out. I heard this from several players with the vouchers.

On the other hand, I heard others say that it was simply a case of not having enough on hand in Indy.

In any case, I think a definitive statement from TPTB on the subject would be important in order to avoid any bad feeling down the road.

I was told that the expiration date was being extended when I tried to transmute mine and wasn't able to because True Dungeon had run out of Rings of Heroism. I do think that a lot of people were told that. I understand in the "fog of war" information can be garbled, but I think if the date isn't extended there will be a lot of people caught by surprise.

I went to transmute a RoH, I was given a signed card as a voucher that I could trade for a completed ring once they had more printed later next year.

That maybe the cause of the confusion for some people thinking they could still get them next year.

I could see how people could think the date was being extend when others got a card and could send them in next year for the ring. I also heard that the Transmutation Shop was not taking the ingredients but instead just verifying them and give the player a proxy card to use and send in next year.

Regardless, I sounds like if you want to make one you should send it in this year to be safe. I will be making 5 at GHC and I suspect I will only be getting cards but will make a post with what I find out.

Same here. The "new date" thing was told to Shelly, who passed it on to me, so there was an extra chance for transmission error, but still. No specific date was given, I somehow got the idea i could complete the trade at WYC, but maybe I was just making stuff up in my head.

Perhaps it was "maybe the date will move" or maybe as Ed said the date only moved if you have the card. I'm not sure I kept it. It's all a bit muddled.

I was told the voucher was only if you needed to use the Ring this year at GENCON, so I wasn't given one. Since so many people were told the date was being extended, I'd recommend moving it at least to WYC. Maybe whatever is done should be addressed in a newsletter.

There should be Rings available at GHC. From what I was told, they didn't burn through all the ones printed, there just weren't enough brought to GENCON.

Dave and I said maybe he had confused the Charm of health with the ring...because he brought charms when he said in the news letter he was out...We wrote vouchers so people could use them

My advise, is send them in...dont wait..dont hope..just do it

the voucher was to just use it...we didnt want to take the tokens from people until Jeff knew what he was going to do
