TOPIC: Old Monster Trophies still useful?

Hi Forum goers, and hopefully some True Dungeon officials.

This year Icecrag's Earcuff used treasure tokens from three years ago. (after I burned all my 2013 trophies on Boots of the Marauder no less). I have Trophies going all the way back to 2007 or 2008, that I've been a little afraid to part with because of something like this. But it seems like the recipes we've gotten lately have only gone back 3 years.

Has there been any announcement or do we have any assurance that older trophies will not be used in new recipes, and can be safely converted to Golden Fleece?

Usually there are three-year arcs. (Occasionally it is a two-year arc and upcoming it looks like a four-year arc).

During the arc, there is a transmutation/combo token that uses monster trophies from that arc.

Beyond that, the only clear use of old monster trophies is recycling them into Golden Fleece.

Some collectors may also be looking for specific trophies (including older ones) but there aren't that many in need of them.

Monster trophies are often components for lesser Transmutation/Combo items. Most of the time it can be used as a substitute for GP (though this year's Fallen Star Mushroom actually requires 2 specific trophies from last year). Some players may use the trophies as GP, but most of the time, they are more valuable as trophies.
