TOPIC: Token Organizers

Token Organizers 9 years 4 months ago #1

I've gotten to the point where I need to start a better organizational system for my tokens. I had been storing them between the little pouches I get with the tokens and a dice bag (not a good system).

I purchased one of the magnetic arm bands last year (but I'll be darned if I know where it went).

This year I've seen many using a Dansco coin book (but I'm not sure what size is needed). I've also seen small soft cover coin wallets.

I tried using the pog/coin 3 ring binder sheets, but my tokens just slipped out, unless I taped the top.

In previous years, I've seen coin sashes made.

One of our guides was wearing a wooden pendent/amulet with a token inside that he made himself (very cool!).

So, to the admins - is it possible to start a token organizer sub-category much like the token trades/token auction/token store areas?

For everyone, I'm looking for advice on where to get things to store/organize tokens/gear during runs and how do you store tokens in the off season? If possible, links are helpful and I know some people are crafty and make those true dungeon sashes and other accessories and are willing to sell them.

Thank you for your assistance!

Angela

The 41 mm Dansco binder should be good.

Kirk, both here on forums, and on tdtavern.com sells some great sleeves that need to be hole punched to fit a standard binder (he will do upon request) but are super secure with the tokens. www.tdtavern.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=102

For builds, like the token wallet, I saw a Disney Infinity organizer that rolled up and look like it worked great. I'm planning on picking up some.

MasterEd's magnetic arm bands are great for inside the dungeon.

I keep a token bag full of healing and a token bag full of gear in a pocket when i run, color coded.

For masses of common/uncommon/not in use gear, Poker chip holders were great, I got some cheap plastic ones that do their job well

These were great. I fit my builds onto 3 pages, and then folded them into the 3 columns and stuck them in my pocket. Then in my other pocket I had one of these for consumables: www.whitman.com/store/Inventory/Detail/Coin-Wallet-24-Pocket-Bulk So I didn't need to carry any binders or bags into the dungeon at all.

When not using a sash for the game I keep all of my important tokens in one of these and you can't beat the price. It will hold 36 tokens and they are safe

My wife and I got some custom token holders from Molda for our consumables.

moldasplace.wix.com/moldasmercantile

I don't know if he is still doing them, but they are really nice.

I can also say that Binia's token sashes are amazing. She does really great work. My wife and I each have one and love them.

EDIT: As for collection organization, we just have some school age binders and the standard coin holder sheets that you can by as part of a token order here on the TD website.

And when we're walking in formation down the halls of fabled GenCon people move out of our way and gaze in awe at us in full regalia.
