Ok, I know all about ghosting characters by turning in tickets and equipping them with treasure enhancing tokens. I have done it a few times.

However what happens when you just don't have a full party and don't have the tickets but have the tokens? Would you get the effect of having 10 CoGF for just the tickets you turn in? I would think not but with some WYC times only having 1 ticket sold (8:36pm lasted I checked), if that person had 10 CoGF should he or she get 2 or 4 tokens for his or her CoGF? Just curious what people think.

I think if there is only 1 person there with 10 of them, he would only get the treasure for how many are equipped by players (phantom or otherwise) or else it could lead to some abuse.

Per the current rules/policy as stated in the Coach's Guide, if the slot has not been paid for, you cannot equip phantom tokens for it.

That was my thought as well. Wonder of I can get my 3 pm run moved to a time with more players...

Maybe there will be a lot of people that attend WYC and buy tickets on-site, to fill up some of those slots. I wonder if the ticket price for WYC should have been a bit lower to get it more established there. $40 per ticket does stand out a bit when everything else is free. Perhaps tickets should have also been made available to the general public a lot earlier - I'd guess most attendees have already booked other games to play.

Actually, I noticed that TD isn't the only event at WYC this year that has a cost. Though most (all?) of the others are crafts related, if I remember correctly.

I'm wondering if you can ghost a player without being there yourself.

For example, could I buy a ticket for a time when I'm not playing, and equip it with tokens (so long as those tokens don't overlap with other players I've equipped, ghost or otherwise.

Seems like it might be hard to keep track of. I suppose if there were someone on the run you trusted to carry your CoA along with them and hand it back to you with the treasure after, but that's not a very long list...

I'm fairly certain you must be present.
Nothing stopping you from giving the run to someone you trust and they could ghost as many others as needed.

I remember reading a post stating you can only ghost as many characters as you have wristbands for, which means you would at least need to be present to get the wristband, I would imagine.

I hope this is NEVER allowed!

Though I would hate to see the practice of buying all 10 tickets and running with less than 10 become commonplace, I'm cool with it as an occasional thing because the person/people involved are actually playing the game. But to waste a valuable slot when you have no intention of going on the run seems... I'll say "not cool" to me.
