TOPIC: Medallion of Heroism and Gloves of Glory

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but saw this scenario and not sure how it would be handled.

I currently have a Medallion of Heroism which gives me +1 Level, but does not allow me to wear rings.

I saw that an ultra rare for 2014 tokens is the Gloves of Glory which allows a wearer to wear 3 rings.

If I had both the Medallion of Heroism AND Gloves of Glory, would I be able to wear rings?

Thank you for any assistance that you can provide regarding this. Just trying to get both a level plus rings.

i think the powers that be will have to chime in. My guess would be one ring(from the gloves), but it says no rings, so I wouldn't be surprised if t was a no to any rings(if anything to make it easier)

I think I am sub-TPTB, maybe an advisor to TPTB, but I would say that the Medallion's limitation would preclude the wearing of ANY rings, regardless of the Gloves of Glory.

Gloves of Glory gives you an extra ring slot, it does not overcome the Medallion of Heroism's ring-wearing restriction.

Is there a way to tell which token wins?

I (of course ) would argue that you can wear the rings if you have both tokens because there is always something in the world that can override things. Just thinking in the RPG world in general. It always seems like there are exceptions.

So without the Gloves of Glory, I can't wear any rings.

But with the Gloves of Glory, they negate the the Medallion of Heroism's inability to wear rings and still allow the level upgrade.

I figure whatever TPTB rule will determine what I get with my token order as I will give up my other gloves to wear ring(s) with my extra level.

Yeah, I clicked the wrong button and was replying to the ones above Druegar's...missed the Quote button. I fat fingered it and didn't think it would matter and it did.

My take is that as it says you can wear 3 rings, it's pretty clear that doesn't overcome the no rings language.

If it had said wear one ring beyond what is otherwise allowed, then we would have something to argue about. But, had it said something that ambiguous, forumites would have been all over that and it surely would have been changed.

Again, just my "far from TPTB" take.

No one mentions MoH and HoG are both neck slot items, so you could use them both at the same time anyway...

Hand of Glory is a neck item, but the OP had asked about Gloves of Glory, which is a hand item.

yeah, it just hit me while placing my last order - but I didn't get back in time to fix it before I got caught...
