TOPIC: Bag of Beans?

Bag of Beans? 12 years 10 months ago #1

I was helping a friend open his order of 120 packs of tokens that he placed last week, and we came across a Bag of Beans in one of the packs. It wasn't the normal rare in the pack, either. It's was more like an ultra-rare, replacing one of the commons in the pack.

I'm not entirely certain what the deal with the Bag of Beans is. I gather it's something that GT holders received? Were there Bags of Beans in normal packs as well, or is this an aberration?

I told my friend to hold onto it, as it seemed like a rare collectible. And according to the token, it's too late to turn it in, anyways.

Hey Nimble, this token (to my knowledge) was given to those who had been on the Golden Ticket runs this year - it was in the swag bag that was given to us.

If you had turned it in on Sunday at 12:00pm as indicated - you would have recieved the following Tokens (which were the rewards for completing truecraft quests?)

Earcuff of Abjuration
Earcuff of Divination
Earcuff of Enchantment

ADDITIONAL INFO:
1) The players were not informed of what tokens would be recieved from turning this in.

2) There are some that believe the bag (as a collectors item) will be worth more than the Earcuffs combined.

Heh. I see what he did there.

Sounds like my friend got a lucky pull, if he can find a collector in need.

I can confirm it was a GT swag bonus, it automatically completed the quests for us in the true crafting zone.

I almost regret turning mine in but I did get the three nifty ear cuffs for it :)

I was sligtly disappointed by the BoB, btw. It said it completed all quests, but it only completed three of them. There were at least three per day, like the recruiter quest that gave you some cheap equipment and a 500gp bar or other coinage. So I was expecting to see more than three earmuffs, but oh well.

Hi, you can call me friend! Nimble was helping me unwrap all my tokens when we found the Bag of Beans. At this point, I really don't know what to do with it. Maybe throw it in the bag with the unused Rumors, Lore, and Treasure Map Fragment tokens...;)

After I saw the results - I kinda wished I'd just kept mine. But oh well! Done deal is a done deal!

They say that the best weapon is the one you never have to use. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only have to use once! Oh - and if you really need to think about whether you're going to use the fireball or the + umpty staff of butt-whooping - you're likely to find yourself full of arrows, or fangs, or nasty knives & swords and such. Don't think - just shoot!
