TOPIC: Question Multiple Orders From 1 Source DO COMBINE!

Question Multiple Orders From 1 Source DO COMBINE! 13 years 8 months ago #1

This one's probably for Jeff, but if anyone else knows the answer feel free to post it.

Just noticed this on token collection page:

Multiple Orders From One Source DO COMBINE!

On August 1st, 2012 we will total up all token orders placed by each individual for the 2012 token collection. If the Grand Total of your orders equal a certain benefit threshold (as above) then you will be sent those earned premiums on August 1st, 2012.

That's really awesome, my question is does this apply to the $250 level too?

Thanks!

Good question! Hmmm...I had not thought about it.

I don't see why not. For 2012 anyway, I will say that a collector's total can earned them the 30-pack special if they accumulate $250 in buys in a token year.

Thanks.

Jeff, you might need to re-think the method on this. Currently, ordering individual packs gets you more than 30 packs for $250. It is the UR bonus that makes the package deal worth it. If you give those bonuses for accumulated individual packs, then there is no incentive to ordering the big packs anymore...we would all start ordering our $1000 orders in single packs to get those extras.
Maybe after buying 30 packs, give the option to pay the difference to $250 and get a PYP?

It's a difference of $11.30 per 30 packs / $250 order.

So, per Jeff's post above, they'd need to buy ~32 packs at a total of $255.68 to be over the $250 target and get the PyP bonus.

Eh. Honestly, I would have figured 'no' just to avoid the headache. It might have worked better at the old $10/pack price point where you got the extra packs free with the $250 purchase, but the new prices confuse the issue.
Blimey!

Ack! Sorry for the poorly thought out response. And thanks to the TD Community for keeping me out of trouble...again!

Okay, after your feedback, we will NOT allow an accumulation up to $250 in one token year to count as buying the 30-pack special for the purpose of getting the 30-pack bonus.

Sorry for the recant!

Oh well, thanks for considering it, didn't realize their was a premium attached to the 30 pack special. I guess I should have planned my token buying more carefully. If I knew I would have been close to buying 30 packs I would have figured out a way to do it all at once. I would gladly pay the 11.30 premium if their was an easy way to do it, but I'm sure that would be too much hassle. So, no worries. I'll do better next year. Just got excited for a minute when I first read that an thought it might apply to the 30 pack too. I was ready to place that next order to get me to 30, glad I asked and didn't just assume it applied. I'll do better next year. Thanks again.
