TOPIC: AoW in 2012?

Any thoughts or ideas on what people would like to see from the Amulet of Wonder in 2012? Do we want to see a change?

Also - I'm curious how a change in the AoW would affect the Golden Apple Artifact. The Apple is predicated on the AoW die roll so it would seem that a change would affect the Artifact.

i would like to see tokens again,like at True Realm

I hope AoW doesn't include double HOP as an option again - it would be nice if it's abilities were separate from HoP instead of duplicating (and doubling) it. It's more of an option that way - use HoP for Tokens, or AoW for non-Token effects.

to me that was smart of Jeff for risk takers like me(smart that I would roll and not get the 2xHoP)..then I didnt use my HoP so less tokens for me

Makes me want to get an AoW for my 3rd friend who will be running with us this year now

FYI: i will not insist that the AoW remains a die roll. i WANT it to be something new/interesting/cool each year.

my suggestion for this year was a die roll with the elemental types, and you gain elemental powers of that type for the adventure (vary it based on that elemental: ie. air elemental gains flight, earth gain DR, etc)

Agreed, I'd like to see really interesting things instead of die rolls also. The large slider last year was genius, I'd love to see more things like that. I could see the large slider repeated in future years also, it was such a good idea.

The large slider last year was for the UR Special ? token, not the Amulet of Wonder.

Was Special ? "used" in the proccess? IE did you get it back after the run?

Any time you use a Special?, it gets turned in and you don't get it back.

In that case I support the larger slider for the AoW this year (maybe as part of a roll?).

I still have a few specials. I didnt like the large slider, so I didnt turn one in. I didnt think it was worth turning in for the Special token maybe something cool this year for it.
