TOPIC: Disney Style NPC Token Trading

I was thinking of the way Disney encourages Pin buying and trading, by having many employees have pin collections with them, and they have to trade like rarities of pins with anyone that wants to trade.  My nieces and nephews had a great time buying pins and then trading them with various Disney employees.  <br /><br />I wonder if something like that could work for True Dungeon tokens.  Maybe if you limited it to one token trade per person at a time, some volunteers could be wearing a specially marked Token Sash or something similar, and people could trade their tokens for tokens from the NPC.  It works really well at Disney.  It would  likely mainly draw in newer players, since the sash wouldn't have anything incredibly rare on it to attract the token-rich.  Maybe it would spark the token buying and trading joy in some new players. 

Most of the pins on the cast member sashes are exclusive pins that only cast members get.  The reason why it works at Disney is because the cast members are told to only trade with children (although there are some who don't follow that rule.)<br /><br />So yeah.... those pins would be incredibly rare if you used the model Disney uses.

<br /><br />That wasn't our experience.  We were told that they had to trade with anyone, and we saw many adults trading with them as well as children.  And most of the pins they had were regular pins (many traded to them), although there were some exclusive pins also.  <br /><br />As an FYI, here are the Disney Pin Trading rules, courtesy Google search  <br /><br />Disney Pin Trading Etiquette<br />•Have Fun! Well, I can only speak to company policy, being a part of their legal department.<br /><br />Really, all of the 'regular' pins were traded to them.  The further you are into their day, the more likely you are to get those, but at the beginning of the day it's (supposed to be) the exclusive cast member only pins.<br /><br />Company policy is that they aren't to trade with adults, and usually if someone is discovered doing that, they can face some pretty harsh disciplinary action.<br /><br />But enough of an insight into the more sordid parts of the company...

Some of them are only supposed to trade with kids, but most of them can trade with anyone.<br /><br />WHY ARE SOME CAST MEMBERS WEARING GREEN/TEAL LANYARDS? <br />Disney Pin Trading is fun for people of all ages. However, kids, ages 3-12, get an extra trading treat. Look for Kids Only lanyards - Disneyland® Resort uses "teal" lanyards and Walt Disney World® Resort uses "green" lanyards. This means that Kids are the only Guests allowed to trade from these special lanyards. Indeed.  I apologize, I was under a mistaken impression.  Originally (according to one of my coworkers), they were limited only to trading with children, but over time parents and adults who didn't have children but wanted the limited edition/exclusive pins were complaining about not being able to acquire them.<br /><br />I apologize for not further researching before speaking.  I guess that the only time I was made aware of the pin trading issue was when something went wrong with it.
