TOPIC: Simple Auction and Combo questions from First time Genconer.

<br />I have been reading the posts and I have gleaned that there is an auction, and there are posted times to trade for combo tokens. But I am still missing a bit of basic information.<br /><br />For the auction<br />-How in general does the auction work? <br />-When is it?<br />-What is generally offered? <br />-How much gold do you need to have a shot at getting something.<br />-How much gold around would an ultra rare go for?<br /><br /><br />For the trade days<br />-Are combo tokens from previous years offered? -- for instance the in demand ring of the ram?<br />-If you come to the trade window, can you submit the 50 common weapons for 2 Dwarven Steels + other ingredients to get a combo token, or does it take 2 passes through the line. First pass to get the Dwarven Steel, Second pass to get the combo item. Generally how much trading can you do. Can you trade for all ingredients at once or is it one pass through the line per ingredient type.<br /><br />Could point me at the relevant posts or reply in this one<br />Thanks for you help<br />

For combos:<br />1. Only this year's combos are available.<br />2. One copy of each combo can be made for every trip through the line.<br />3. No, if you have (neatly organized) source tokens for a trade item instead of the trade item for one of the trade combos, I will not make you go through the line twice.<br /><br />Keep in mind if you have a large number of base trade items (planks, steel, hide, etc.) or reserve bars to trade for, you may want to just drop them off to me (arrange a time with me) and I will have them ready the next day, instead of wasting time at the window for trade items and reserve bars.<br /><br />Finally after the line dies down and there are just a few people left, I open up the trade number to any amount.  I just want to make sure the guy who wants to make one combo has the opportunity to, before the guy who wants to make twenty clears the stock out.  In addition, I do not want to make the people who one want to make one combo wait for an hour to clear the line of people who take 20 minutes to spread out all their trades.  When the line moves efficiently, the average window time is about a minute per person, so the line clears out fairly fast.<br /><br />Dave

For the auction:<br />1. Bids are in 50GP increments, people bid as in a regular open auction, you will know who is bidding against you.  <br /><br />2. The auctions is generally some time on Sunday around the riddle reveal.  I do not remember if it is before or after, this year.  Jeff made a post about it somewhere.<br /><br />3. All sorts of stuff are offered, mainly props, sometimes the items that were the models for the token images, and other surprises.<br /><br />4. Depends on what you want, if it is an Arcane Recipe then lots, other stuff goes realatively cheap (e.g., under 1-5K GP).<br /><br />5. I have no idea on this, I think it would depend on what UR you have and if there was someone willing to trade their GP for it.
