TOPIC: Set Vote Off

Feel free to give price estimates in GP or $ if you want.

I think it is close between Dragonscale and Mithral, but mithral wins out because of Gauntlets going for $140-160

The Mithral set is also 5 pieces (total) while the dragonscale is 3.  The "Might" set may outdo the Mithral set next year when it bumps levels.

I thought mithral was: gauntlets, sword, chain, cap

It currently is.  There is a 5th piece to be released next year, and will have another set perk.

I'm going with Dragonscale Armor, from the POV of a Druid, it's by far the best Armor I can use, and I am still using the Mithral Gauntlets (the best part of the Mithral set).  The -10 to Fire Damage has come in handy nearly every year.  =)

From the Bard's point of view its the Mithral because he can use it all.

After this year, when fire damage will still be a more likely reality, but breathweapons less likely, dragonscales -10dmg will be a much better set bonus. An equal number of classes can get the set bonuses for mithral/dragonscale, so I would vote mithral this year, and dragonscale long term... the only piece of the mithril set that most classes would use is the gauntlets with a couple using the chain, as their optimal gear... dragonscale is solid armor even for the tank classes, the helmet and shield are top notch (second only to the tower shield +1) in AC, so I think you'll see a lot more people using that set in the future, and the set is obscene on a druid... possible 29+AC.<br /><br />That said, I can't imagine the might set not being the most sought after set, and if you're thinking long term, you should include that in your list... I mean, all classes are going to level 4 next year... might set will make them level 5... that's the difference between melf's acid arrow, and a fireball/lightning bolt to a mage (etc, etc for all the other classes).
