TOPIC: TD Store - TAX?

Hey, so... what's up with the 8.25% tax the store is trying to charge me here?

I hadn't placed my order yet - but wow, you're right. That is a big change. I thought tax didn't need to be charged on out-of-state orders over the internet. For a $4K order, you're paying the equivalent of 1.5 PYP packages in tax. I'm sure I never had to pay tax on this before (unless the tax used to be included in the price already). I wonder how much this will impact token sales, if at all.

No worries...tax will NOT be charged now if you place an order today. The tax dissappears once you go further in. Sorry...it showing up for you on the first pageis getting fixed today.

Still...you can place an order now without tax being applied.

You might want to edit the $2K order, to specify that it comes with an Adventurer's Guild Button. And do you want to have a little blurb on the store page telling what the Adventurer's Guild Button gets, or do you think everyone that makes it to the store page already knows?

The tax persisted all the way through to the checkout page, so I'll just hold off and wait until it's fixed.

Yep, I was billed for the tax and am in Ohio. An extra $85.14 added on my total.

<edit> you could always just send me an extra ten or eleven packs of tokens rather than worry about refunding that tax amount. I'd be good with that.

Try logging out and back in or reloading browser; it was Still there for first try on desktop but just now tried on mobile and it was removed;..
I'm still Holding off on first 2k purchase - Maybe I'll wait for full 8 to be ready -

-still waiting on word if we get progressive rewards for cumulative purchases...

Anyone know or have a definitive answer ?

I'm pretty sure that you'll get the $1K bonus (rod & modules) if you have multiple purchases adding up to $1K, as you did in the past. And Jeff answered in an earlier thread that you'll still get the Wish Ring and Rare/Uncommon/Common Onyx sets if you have multiple orders that add up to $8K. I'm not sure about the Adventurer's Guild button, I think back when it was an Adventurer's Guild token at $4K Jeff said you had to do the $4K order all at once. I'm not sure if you'll get the $2K Adventurer's Guild button if you have multiple orders adding up to $2K - I'd guess you do but Jeff would need to confirm.

Right; that comment wasn't so directed to you; after you accepted and completed the transaction. I guess only TD can help you. And we all wish you the best of luck on that I'm sure. I was addressing folks who wisely held off completing the sale until they agreed with its details
