Okay at least 4 of the 5. (I know it says there are only 4, but trust me it is 5).

I am one of the Artifact level backers so you can add another TD player to the list, so I guess that makes it 5 of the artifacts.

I have an idea in mind for exactly what I am going to ask for, we will see what they say.

I do find it a little amusing that the only comments on the Kickstarter page have been from TD forumites :)

LOL. I read all those comments but didn't pay attention to who made them...lol. I was like No charm is a slot not a level, who is that guy.

I do wonder what number of the 26 backers are TD players as well.

I read the rulebook today - it looks fun but like... really, really involved and complex.

In particular it seems you need to level up your PC, so while it will be rewarding if you play a lot, it would be hard to skip a year or two, as you're going to be behind the hardcore players.

Also, it seems that there will be "league play" or something in some game stores in WI.

Imagine going to Gen Con and getting in with a party of level 4-6 players and you're level 1....

Finally, it seems like it really is a RP progression system: you pick a race, class, perks, etc. as you level. No way to respec that I see. Sick of playing Fighter? Too bad.

Also - it's good to see Rangers are way OP in this system as well:

DEX adds to AC and ranged damage, rangers get 2 ranged attacks per round if they do nothing else, and rangers get a companion animal that they also control, so that's 2 attacks and 1 additional standard action per round for rangers :).

It seems cool though - I'm sure a lot of people will really like it. I think it's too much for me.

Actually - looking at their leveling guide the re-speccing thing is even weirder:

Once you get to Level 5 you can make as many L5 characters as you want and they all share XP.

Once you get to Level 7 you can make as many L7 characters as you want and they all share XP.

Once you get to level 8 you're locked into 1 character again.

Weird.

You can also play pregens of levels 3-7, so you don't have to worry too much about the builds I suppose.

Their mechanics do seem to be a bit hastily put together. That being said, I think the idea that rangers are OP might be a bit of a premature judgment? I suppose I would want to see how well pets end up comparing to regular attacks, since it seems everyone can get a second attack if they choose (unless I misread some rules in there).

Could be - but I'd say the class that gets to triple dip on AC, RFLX, and Damage by improving one stat and also gets 1 more action a round than everyone else is a good front-runner for 'likely to be busted.'

I'm sure they'll improve things as they go - Rome wasn't built in a day...

Also, I think everyone can play ranger if they want, so that's OK too.
