I scan the chapel one last time, and move to the stairway.

"Let's move. If we damage him enough he will probably turn to gas and try to return to his crypt (Bardic monster lore check?). We'll have to rush there to end him."

"Let's let him taste his brother's sword."

As your group chases Strahd up the stirs towards the pinnacle of the castle the storm increases in intensity and rain begins to pour in through the towers shattered windows making the already treacherous steps all the more slippery. Lightning flashes illuminating the darkness of the towers open vertical shaft while reminding your of the crumbling buildings lack of structural integrity through its upper levels.

As you reach the top you find the entire upper chamber of the tower collapsed and exposed to the wind and storm. In the distance you can see a figure that looks to your eyes to be Gertruda standing at the edge of the platform. She looks like she is in a trance and about to step out into the open air below when a wave of darkness explodes towards her from the roiling sky and Gertruda screams as she is surrounded by thousands of bats and the image of Strahd appears from the darkness sweeping up the girl and driving his cruel fangs into her neck.

Ismark screams and charges towards the vampire as Strahd finishes with the girl and throws her lifeless body from the tower laughing and raising his arms towards you as if in welcome.

Breon gestures while summoning his arcane magic. "Tempestas Ignis," he cries, the circlet on his head glowing bright red.

*Cast Lightning Storm, but used Circlet of Elemental Mastery to change it to Fire Storm (fearing Strahd might be resistant to shock. Does 30 points damage to all targets, DC 12 REF for half damage*

*plus 2 damage for Cabal set and Ring of Focus*

Breon gestures again and uses the power of his Cabal Set to cast Magic Missile at Strahd as well.

My lute continues to play. I swallow a potion from Tulz's pouch (barkskin) and then drink a potion (cat's grace). The dancing sword reacts to parry.

Cram follows Itmar, still smarting from the ruse in the chapel. (LMK if I can attack)

"I tire of your cat and mouse game, Strahd. You need to die SOON!"

I step out of the way of my companions and brandish the Sun Sword. "Your brother sends his regards, Strahd!"

Save 1d20 = 11 (+10)

If I am close enough... if not disregard.

To Hit 1d20 = 19 (+10)
Damage ??? (Not sure what the sword does damage wise)

I wipe the rain from my face and prepare to attack. (How much room is there and what is the description?)

The platform crackles with arcane energies and the tower explodes into a sea of flame engulfing Strahd at its center. Moments later the vampires laughter begins to rise slowly from the conflagration drowning out the storm and filling the night as he steps from the flames untouched and clapping slowly.

"Excellent, you have been most entertaining and proven yourselves worth servants. Now lay arms and accept the inevitable..." Strahd says stopping suddenly as the blade of the sun sword bursts through his chest and Delmar emerges from behind him.

Strahd reaches towards the sunsword weakly, its glowing golden blade burning at his touch as the vampire falls to his knees with an expression of genuine horror coloring his rapidly decaying features.

"How dar,.. how dare you" Strahd coughs turning to strike Delmar with sufficient force to throw him towards the edge of the tower (make a will save followed by a DC15 reflex save to avoid going over the side (Anyone making a DC 20 reflex check can also use an action to catch Delmar before he goes over the side)).

"We had a deal," the vampire mumbles as he slumps forward onto his hands withering to dust as he falls.

"This is not done..." Strahds voice whispers as the sun sword clatters to the tower floor, its golden light slowly extinguishing.

Catching Strahd's blow on his shield Delmar slides toward the edge of the tower. He totters at the precipice for a moment before feeling his boots of free action just barely grip the edge. Falling safely forward to his knees he says to no-one in particular, "Have I ever told you I'm afraid of heights?"
