Nodding towards Widseth, I walk over to Sergei and look at him with what I hope is a look of compassion and understanding. I make the sign of Pelor and hold both my hands out palms up.

"I know you can't understand me Sergei but I feel we are connected. I will do my best to end the evil plans that your brother put into motion so many years ago."

The image of Sergei smiles warmly as you take the sword then vanishes in a blinding flash of light leaving you holding the brightly burning blade. In the distance you can almost feel the dark forces that rule this land string in response and somehow you know that while you now hold the power to destroy them they will not give you long to use it before they begin to move.

"It seems like you have proven worthy, Delmar," Breon says. We will likely need to use the powers we have against Strahd and his forces quickly."

Breon grimaces, clutching at his wounds, and asks, "Could one of you with healing powers give me aid? We should all be at full strength to face the upcoming challenges."

"Breon, do you need healing?"

I offer a potion to him.

"Delmar, lead on. Let's end this."

"My thanks, Widseth." Breon quaffs the potion.

I start a purposeful walk towards the stairs that Strahd took trying to sense where he is at through the link forged by the curse.

"Either this sword will protect me or it will be the death of us all. whichever way, this will all soon be over."

"That was amazing," I breathe out still in awe of seeing the wish used and the appearance of Sergei. I take a quick inventory of my remaining scrolls and spells and walk over to the rest of the party. "I am ready."

Reaching into the darkness you feel as if Strahd is in the high places of the castle.

Can you roll will check, anything but a 1 will pass.
