I’d really recommend waiting for Gamehole. Like Fiddy, I’d be more tempted to buy them if sold as slots of 10 over 3 days.

Hi Jeff,

In concept I like the idea. My group is going to try to get one of each of the three Dungeons, and a 7 PM or later time would work for my group. And we'd MUCH rather do one run each night than do 2 or 3 in a row, so something like this would be perfect for us.

One question is whether it has to be the same 10 people each time. Out of my group, there are five of us that will be doing all three Dungeons. Everyone else in my group is only interested in doing one or two Dungeons this year (given the higher ticket price), so even though it's my gaming group each time, the makeup is different each Dungeon. Although maybe something like this would convince one or two more people to do all three runs (which I kind of need to happen to be able to fill all 10 this year, as a couple people have quit due to the higher prices, and others reduced the number of runs they're willing to do).

We'd only be interested in doing this if I was able to buy the whole slot of 10 tickets for my group, and I'd definitely try to sign us up for a slot.

I think a big concern, if you're allowing 10 different people that don't know each other ahead of time to do this, and the group dynamic is bad (maybe a couple of people really clash), it might be frustrating for them to know they have to play with the same group for two more nights. Hopefully that wouldn't happen, but it's a risk.

Thanks,
Mike

I like the idea. It's similar to how one of the d&d groups offers a ticket for all the adventure with a guarantee of a fixed group and DM.

I don't know that I would use it as I'm not sure all my friends want to do all 3 runs, but having a limited number of slots to experiment with seems like a good plan. If somehow they don't sell out I would guess there are usually enough people on the waiting list to cover it maybe later in the day

Due to ticket prices probably only doing each dungeon once but I'm going to origins so I'm probably doing n1 there and won't need to redo it at gencon.

This a good point. During my Dancing Among Stones run, we had three individuals who were terrible teammates and actually stormed off after their characters died in the 4th or 5th room. While my group didn't like that particular Dungeon, those individuals compounded our misery.

The $2000 ticket idea that's being floated around sounds pretty good. it seems like it'd likely reward the most loyal customers with a chance to book a time slot solid.

So one of the concerns so far has been voiced so far, is telling people that they Should do the Dungeons sequentially. So that leaves everybody trying to get astral bliss on the first day and everyone trying to do the last one on the last day.
One other thing has also been offered was doing all three runs in the same day.

I think combining these things would be a great idea running all three runs in the same day but make it either Friday or Saturday. That gives more casual players time to get the first Dungeon done before moving onto the second but also doesn’t tie up the last dungeon on the last day.

Personally, I do like the idea of being able to lock down all three sequentially and I can see a lot of interest in that. I don’t even see it necessarily being exclusively for thematic runs.

Your two adventures on Friday and one on Saturay has good merit. It addresses lots of supply concerns. What about this?

Friday:

-- All 9:00am slots start off the fun with N1
-- Then you come back that night at 7:00pm and run N2

Saturday

-- Then you come back at 9:00am on Saturday to play N3

Thoughts?

BTW, there would only be one ticket for $234 for the first adventure's start time. The other two rounds would not have tickets, but we would take names and give out paper reminders of when to come back to play your next round.

The times for N2 and N3 would not appear on the schedule.

I think that 3 days, 3 adventures would be more desirable than the proposed Friday AM & PM - Saturday AM

I like being able to pick my times but could see the value in this for some.

I can only speak to my group, but we have enough morning conflicts with work and the Saturday Orchestra that we'd only be able to do the evenings.

I really do like the idea of selling some entire 10 slots for $2,340, for three consecutive nights. Or even something like 7 PM and 11 PM Friday and 7 PM Saturday, or the reverse. Selling them individually doesn't appeal to us, as we'd only be interested if we could only get all 10 slots on all 3 runs.

Maybe do an experiment to see which works better? Sell the morning slots as individual tickets for $234, and sell the evening slots as whole 10 slot runs for $2,340. :)

I'd agree with that. My group tends to enjoy the Dungeons more if we space them out a day apart.
