TOPIC: No WYC 2017 - Carbondale Instead

Several people said they prefer WYC over GHC because of the other games going on.

Given the option between the two I would take GHC over WYC since it has more official events going for the games I play.

Sorry I am not seeing anyone say they prefer WYC to GHC for gaming. Many that said WYC vs Carbondale. Some that don't like the WYC hotel. But I am not seeing what you are seeing.

I also don't think it is a question of WYC vs GHC. At lrast that isn't what it sounds like to me from Jeff or any of the previous posts.

Just for the record I preferred WYC to GHC, not that it matters. Both were good IMO and Ill follow TD wherever I can but I liked the cozy atmosphere of WYC.

I prefer Gary Con.

While we don't have the exact details of what's happening at this event, I see no reason why we couldn't arrange other games to take place outside of TD. We can coordinate several runs of TD with a multitude of players. We can definitely organize a board game area and schedule some other gaming.

Silly question, but which airport is the best to fly into for this event in Carbondale? St. Louis, Missouri? Or is there a closer or better airport?

I want to start looking at prices... I prefer Delta Airlines but am willing to do another if the price is much better. I will be flying from either Atlanta or SLC Utah...

We flew into St. Louis for True Realm, and carpooled with a couple other folks. There's a puddlejumper plane that flies several times a day from St. Louis to Marion, IL (next town over from Carbondale) for just under $100 round trip. Something we're considering this time... I wonder if we'd be able to get a rental car in Marion, though.

How sure are we on the dates for TDC? Jeff? Like 99%? Or is it like 75%?
