This departs only very minimally from the original intent (which always allowed one rare) and I think it will give us a fighting chance, no pun intended.

I think allowing rare consumables in general will ruin the "green" concept and unnecessarily burn a lot of expensive consumables, while allowing any one token won't. That one token could be a Mystic or Fallen Star Mushroom if one desires.

I agree very much here regarding the thought of burning expensive consumables. Realistically i expect to go into this run with A) a hangover/sleep deprivation. I plan to put some consumables aside but expect to pretty short due to previous runs this con.

Either lets do a point buy or just keep original intent/stated objective and go for it. I'd rather keep the theme/practicals simple. If we completely tpk room 1/2 then we know for next year to allow some adjustments.

The reason for allowing 1 rare token is a 10 pack includes 1 rare token. This is to simulate the same token level as the best possible pulls from a group with a 10 pack each. It just makes sure everyone can equip themselves out to proper levels.

I'm going to keep the setup as it is with 1 rare and the rest common or uncommon. I'd like to run the test and see how well we do. If we die in the first combat then we know to adjust for next year but I'd like to push this run to it's limits and actually see where things go.

If people want to bail on the run I understand that but the point of the run is to bring back a nearly unbeatable level at Nightmare back to where things were with Smoak and this run will set the baseline to work with.

By all means, try it. But I think Laz's solo nightmare last years GenCon and our sealed pack plus one nightmare at WYC has already led to an adjustment.

The past scaling was roughly normal 100, hardcore 150, nightmare 200. I'm anticipating nightmare scaling going to at least 250.

You will certainly test if the adjustment was enough.

If you are trying to simulate the 1 token pack with ideal pulls then we should be limited to 10 tokens, 2 Uncommons and the rest commons.

Considering the adjustment for Nightmare if we can do it with just Uncommons from any year that would be an achievement. With only 2015 tokens and not every equipment slot populated and the adjustment we will not likely do enough damage to survive.

I can see this. There are several classes harmed by current year only tokens.

If everyone is in agreement then let's do that. Open it up to any common or uncommon token, drop the 1 rare and lets see how we do.

Works for me and keeps with original intent. Ill need to see what i have, may actually need to trade for some stuff as ive scrapped most stuff im not actively using.
