TOPIC: Best way to organize one's tokens

Re: Best way to organize one's tokens 16 years 1 month ago #13

I use bead boxes for the tokens - their like $2 per box at Wal-Mart.

I will use a blank 1 1/4" Dansco book with 8 pages of 41 mm holes (holds 72 tokens) for the dungeon.
.30 per 25 stored...

4000 tokens / 25 = 160 X .3 = $48 Not bad considering I paid $80 for the 4 cases I use to hold the 4000.

But for anyone with over/around 1000 tokens a single case with CLOUT tokens used as dividers is pretty cool and $20.

Check eBay for Poker Chip spacer =D

Cool beans! I have some free demo packs in the basement as well. They sure look neat.

I got a few packs from the Stink last year...thanks Vanessa or whomever talked me into going...

anyway - yes CLOUT tokens make nice dividers - especially if you use the different colors for specific categories.

Okay ... I'm bringing back this topic coz I haven't had much luck with my treasure token storage techniques ... so any help would be, well, helpful ...

I kept my treasure tokens in those plastic sheets and the put the sheets into the binders and my binders into my suitcase and when I got home, my treasure tokens were all over my suitcase ... so need to move away from binders and sheets and into the treasure token case storage model ... I know I saw people at GenCon with those clear plastic cases ... where do you get them from? Links would be great! - thanks in advance :)

They're just poker chip cases. You can get them anywhere. They usually hold 80-100 depending on the size. I bought a big lot of them on ebay to put in the rolly case. It was pretty darn cheap. If you leave a couple gaps in each row it makes it easy to riffle-shuffle through them to find what you're looking for.

Dice bags!

Buy a lot of dice bags and then sort your tokens by specific types.

In one bag you can put anyone-can-use healing tokens.
In another clerical healing tokens.
In another put holy water.
In another put common tools (rope, grapling hook, etc.)
In another put red armor.
In another put green armor.
In another common armor.
In another put all the tokens that you yourself will use all the time (armor you will wear, weapons you will use, magical items that you will wear, etc.).
In another put consumables that you might use.
etc.

Then, label the bags.
Bring them in a box, take out what you might need for a run, store the box, and you're all set to go.

I'm starting to use a few token bags...just use a sharpie and write on the outside what is inside!
