OH - I see a group with a Cleric is better off than a group without one.

Can't the same thing be said for just about EVERY CHAR class with respect to certain CHAR class specifics...

Take a Wizard - get offensive spell scrolls for free...

Take a Rogue - save those knock scrolls and get backstabs...

Take a Druid - healing and BEST potential AC in the game and offensive spells and great saves...

So I don't see how taking X character makes you say the Cleric "is unbalancing for a group."

The stats are what they are...black and white...a tad skewed for the Druid (in his favor) and a tad skewed for the Monk (not in his favor). Is this critical for game play...not in my opinion, I get concerned with things like BEST AC belonging to Bards and Druids...

Easy fix - remove DEX bonus if you wear any armor better than Reinforced Leather. DONE!
Easy fix - leave the Druid just like he is - Done! =)

Sure with the DEX fix - I'm OK with the Druid as is...but still the Monk could use a boost.

No need for a DEX fix for the Druid, he's fine as is.

This from someone who complained about the Bard???

Come on - the Druid with the best possible in game AC...stay the course.

A TANK class needs to have the best possible in game AC - no matter the tokens involved.

I really hope that all this complaining does not create a division among the players when the changes do come because of the massive complaining. It may be a case of be careful what you wish for.

Kim

Has anyone voiced an issue with the change to the Bard or Wizard.

This is "constructive" not just complaining!
OH - I see a group with a Cleric is better off than a group without one.

Can't the same thing be said for just about EVERY CHAR class with respect to certain CHAR class specifics...

Take a Wizard - get offensive spell scrolls for free...

Ok, so a couple of Rare offensive "scrolls" in exchange for the worst HPs, horrible armor, and bad saves. Hmm...

Take a Rogue - save those knock scrolls and get backstabs...

Backstabs are OK and knock scrolls are uncommon. Bashing a lock is free.

Take a Druid - healing and BEST potential AC in the game and offensive spells and great saves...

Druid is good, again no argument there and he gets the closest to the Cleric with 18HPs of healing vs. 50HPs. But AC for the Druid is only with 3 URs that almost no one has.

There are losses with any class. The point I was making is the losses with most classes are minimal, the losses with some classes are fair, the losses with the Cleric are HUGE. This to me indicates that there is an imbalance.

Forget stats. One healing spell will negate the one attack that will hit a person because of a lower Dex.

How about this!!

Lower the Druid's Dex to 10 and raise his healing to 40HPs! Would he be balanced then? I think that would make him more powerful than the Cleric. The bottom line is that Dex isn't the issue IMO. Its overall power and the 50HPs of healing pushes the Cleric to the front of the pack. =|

Oh, and I agree with Gary that this isn't complaining. Discussions like this are constructive (and fun). :)

I just still find it funny that in a team event that people are complaining about a particular character class being too powerful. If I'm playing the fighter and Douglas is in my party playing the druid, I'm happy that he has the AC that he does. It means he has a greater chance of sticking around longer and making greater contributions to the party. What I really wish is that Jeff would chime in and say what his reasoning was for making the druid's stats what they currently are. I think it would settle a number of points. Yes, this is constructive to a degree, but I think we are straying into the beating of a dead horse area.

Kim
