<br /><br />I doubt it.  I was just suggesting that the token was overpowered.  With that ring my little 1 point cures become 3 point cures.  <br /><br />

<br /><br />Burgandy is not the new tier, above Purple.<br /><br />Burgandy is being used to denote a special item which does not change from year to year - like the Feedback rings (anyone can buy one for $5, and it they're still available next year, they'll look the exact same as this year) or like the Exchange currency (silver bar thru adamantine bar). The burgandy tokens don't use the special year marker (this past year it was the triangluar 'thorns' on the sides) so collectors won't go mad trying to get one from every year's set, and so Jeff & co don't have to reprint them every year.

<br /><br />I could see some sort of Wizard-only RoF +2 Variant (perhaps on a staff), as +2 to Damage spells doesn't seem as broken as +2 to the Healing Spells. 

The RoF +1 seemed a bit weak for my tastes.  Compare it to any +2 weapon and you'll see my point.  +2 to hit and +2 to damage for every attempted attack.  Compare that to a "measily" +1 on about five spells.  <br /><br />A +2 RoF seems about right, especially if the rule is that you need to wear it for the entire adventure.

If you add that rule, it makes much more sense.  If you can freely pass it around, then the +2 would definitely be broken.

+2 RoF is too powerful for the cleric, in my opinion. What about making a Mage Band (wizard only) that offers the same +2 to hit and +2 to damage that other purples give fighter types?

I think (correct me if I'm wrong, George) that he was saying a +2 RoF should be Burgandy because that's an even more powerful level than purple. But Burgandy isn't a rarity level, it's a class of its own. Make sense?
