Oh yes there are many messenger bags that are loads cheaper and would work just as well. My goal was to find one that was black leather with silver hardware to match the rest of my rogue's outfit without looking too out of place.

A quick search on ebay turned up a lot of affordable options between $18 and $35 depending on what style you're looking for. I'm a fan of the smaller ones that closely match the size of the binder so it doesn't flop around much and cause potential issues in some of the more "hands-on" puzzles.

I made a sleeve for my Dansco binder that snaps shut and has a windowed pocket on one side for tokens I may need to show after the dungeon starts. If I get motivated, I am going to add a strap that can be removed as well. I will try and link some pics later this week.

That would be awesome, I'd love to see what you came up with!

You can't fix stupid but you can TPK it.

Well the pouch I ordered finally arrived, and sadly the dansco binder I planned to use will not fit as I had hoped and as the seller had indicated it would. One of my smaller binders fits, only barely, and the height is a bit too tall for the flap to close as designed. I'm sure with the help of a leathercrafting friend I'll be able to modify some of the attachments to better hold the flap closed, but it won't work out well for my 1+" dansco binder

Can someone please confirm or deny my assumption? Thank you

I only ask as the last four retailers I have called or emailed have informed me that the 41 mm are on massive back order and may not be available in the time frame I need them by (GENCON).

p.s., thanks to Dennis for letting me take a look at his DENSCO binders during WYC. They are just so much more appealing, sturdy, and secure than my vinyl 24 coin holders.

Did anyone figure out if the silver eagle pages work for TD tokens? Silver Eagles are 40.6mm in diameter, so slightly larger than tokens. But are they large enough?

Would 42mm pages be too large?

I have been using the DANSCO American Silver Eagle books for TD for 4 years now. I love them! Fits the tokens perfectly!

I'm making leather covers for the DANSCO books this year for my group.

I should also update that I used the Dansco books this year and they're pretty great - It takes 3-4 pages for a single character, but I'm just outfitting two people and then keeping a book of common-use spares to share around, so not too bad for my tiny backpack (slim for easy dungeon use!).

No, they would not. Tokens are easy to get in and out. We really like these pages for security:

And for bulk storage, these work and ship reasonably well (add rubber bands):

I got some dansco binders this year. I use the silver eagle pages. not sure about the size. i'm not sure about the mm size. i'm hoping to get a bunch of them to take to whosyercon. I am able to get 7-8 9-slot pages into each binder. which is more than enough to outfit any character, even with some variations.

the idea is to order like 100 of them and get a big discount and everybody saves. ;)

If we ordered that many I wonder if Jeff could reach out to them and get a TD logo printed on them. I'd buy a few of those for sure.
