That is too bad, hopefully his issues get resolved soon.

I just received in the mail two Dansco binders. Wow these are fantastic! Since 2009 or 10 I've been using the 25 coin vinyl binders which have started to show some wear and tear.

While the binders do cost more than a few vinyl binders (19 dollars vs 3 dollars) but they look like they will last much longer and have an overall nicer appearance. They also look similar to a wizard's spell book which allows them to blend into the over all immersion a bit better than binders of vinyl.

I do need a suggestion....should I order my tokens in the same order as the character builder prints them out so I can just show the coach along with my printed out party card or is it acceptable to have them in an order which I find more useful (like tokens which may need to be shown to a combat dm on the first page)

As a coach. Do
It in order of character builder. Less flipping. That can get that part done quicker

Seconded, though honestly its not a huge deal either way as along as you can point them out quickly.

Vehemently thirded!
My personal experience differs from Picc though. I absolutely loathe having to flip back and forth through people's binders in search of their tokens. For me it is incredibly frustrating and a waste of everyone's time.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

I have mine set up with all the Strength modifiers, followed by damage/to hit modifiers, then my AC, then Saves. May have to rework this, lol.

I have one of the simple plastic coin holders with my tokens in order that are listed in the character card, so i can just line them up. I however carry all my one shot usable items in a paracord bag, separated by use, and necessity. But I an agree i think if you are going to have them in binder pages, have them in order so one can go right down the list.

IMO the best way to do things for runs is to print out character sheets and take them with you on the runs. If coaches need to spot check a few build items (larger ones) try your best to have them in order based on which class is up first (or in the builder).

If you print out sheets all the coaches have to do is just fill in your section. I've had much success with this over the years.

I always bring a character sheet and have the following tokens out for the coach.
  • Anything that modifies your treasure pulls (RoR/HoP/CoGF)
  • Anything that gives you a special ability you wouldn't have like set items (Eldritch/Wind/Cabal sets)
  • If you are getting a level bump that item (Might Set/Charm or Ring of Heroism/Eldritch set)
  • Anything that gives you resistance or thorns

Past that most coaches don't bother going through and counting your +str items total.

Yes print out your character or party card.
Then all I have to do is flip through and look for the "cool" stuff.

So I got Dansco binders and they're awesome. It takes about 3 pages to do a full character load.

I did my list in order of the way the character mats at GenCon work - that is: Strength and Damage, Armor, Saves, Immunities, Damage reduction. I plan to print character sheets, but this should still save time.
