TOPIC: What Needs a Reprint in 2010?

I also feel tokens like Death's Door should be in short supply. Hopefully it will stay out of print for at least a few more years. I wouldn't mind not having any more resurrection tokens, it would add more of an element of danger to the Dungeons. I wouldn't want a Resurrection spell for the Cleric, that seems too powerful, and really could lead to a "he only resurrected his friend" type of situation. Plus - if there is to be resurrection capability, I'd rather it be a token to help spur tokens sales, instead of a spell.

Here's the new token, just perfect for Gary!

CLERIC-ONLY Token: Resurrect all other players (Druids are restored to full HP, everyone else at 1 HP =D ), all for the measly cost of the Cleric's life and *soul*. (Potion of Death's Door doesn't work since this token consumes the Cleric's soul. And Savior Stone is ineffective if you want the actual benefit of resurrecting others).

I think this would make the Cleric especially powerful (and *everyone's* friend)! Whatcha think about this?

Dang, that's hardcore.

That is an interesting idea for a Token - you can bring someone else back to life, at the cost of your own life. Or even bring two people back to life at the cost of your life. They could come back with the same strength you had - or if multiple people came back they would have divided among them your strength. It could be like a life transference token =) Maybe Potion of Martyrdom or Rune of Life Transference.

Yep. And while some players may dislike the downside (sacrificing your own life), it might have especially interesting uses for players who bring their significant others into the dungeon.

Is your wife/girlfriend giving you grief for the amount of money you spend on tokens? Well, earn some brownie points when you "heroically sacrifice" yourself (after she dies), to bring her back to life at the cost of your very own. =D

Plus, it makes for some good stories and people might appreciate the role-playing aspects involved.

That's a bizarre one. I wonder if anyone would actually do it. It would have to provide exceptional benefit or I doubt it would happen.

I like the idea of using lots of gems next year, to represent Smoak's hoard. Would be cool to have chippie version of many of the older woodie gems (I've had enough of houseware and jewelry! I want old-fashioned gemstones!).

Considering the complaints about access to SeyLah's +2 Sundering Cestus, maybe this would be an opportune time to reprint Weighted Net and Tanglefoot Bag? I wonder how many nets you could throw on to a dragon-sized monster? (Though Smoak should be able to free himself pretty easily).

Moving on to newer items to see:

- As an additional note, don't forget that another of the Ultra-Rares slots for next year will be taken up by the next addition to the Might set (either the Orb or Scepter of Might - though maybe Jeff will surprise us by introducing both next year).

- More weapon options (Bracers?) for the Monk

- Maybe a special UR weapon for the Bard or the Ranger.

Also, somewhere it was mentioned (by Jeff I think) that the Mithral Chain was going to be reprinted next year. And since there were plans to make it a 5-item set there may be another Mithral item in there as well.

Yes, the Mithral Chain is supposed to be reprinted. If you look at the very first post in this thread, that was the very first point I made! But I can forgive an overeager Bard/Ranger/Rogue who is probably overcome with excitement and anticipation!

How about reprinting the Horn of Plenty? There is a serious supply/demand imbalance when they frequently sell for $450 each on ebay.
