Thanks everybody!

Yes of course there could be something better just over the hill. But it is no fun getting there and then worrying that I can't get the time off for GenCon.

I just might have to take something temporary and be sure I get time off for the CON!

Ah well - I guess I have time to figure all that out.

Thanks again.
G

{{{{HUGS}}}}

Unemployment can be very difficult. I've been picking up part-time stuff here and there, but going over a year without a "real job" has been tough. I'm really trying not to have to go back full-time, if I can get the chainmaille biz profitable.

Anyway, lots of *find a great job with time of for GC* thoughts coming your way.

My personal plan is to hit the lottery. I just need to start buying lottery tickets and get the ball rolling. It's just hard to get started after calling it a tax on the stupid for so many years.

some friends and i would turn it into a party.

step 1. buy lotto tickets.
step 2. get snacks and beer.
step 3. head over to friends house.
step 4. play cards or watch a ball game on tv.
step 5. go around room and tell what we would do if we won.
step 6. if anyone repeated what they had said from the previous week/party,
they were stripped and locked out of the house.

good times. did i mention there was lots of beer involved?

Thanks again everybody...I guess what makes this time so much worse is I kinda liked it at Sprint. Granted the company is not looking so good to the world right now - but we had a good team (had as in 3 out of 5 of us are gone now).

Anyways, I'm torn with starting over in perhaps a new industry - as Telecom has just been too crazy a ride. The longest I have ever been with one company is 3 years - RIFs are rampant and almost a yearly tradition at most companies.

oh well "cest la vie"

Gary,
You have great people skills. That's an invaluable commodity in today's workforce and somebody is going to realize and recognize that.

Kim
