Thursday, September 13, 2007. 8:42 am.

The nice lady from HR called me, saying everything was cleared and I was to start work October 15th.

Some poor old lady about 8 feet away from me got the crap scared outta her when I went 'WOOHOO!' really loud. Her armful of stuff she had just got off the shelves went flying.

15 minutes later, after helping her pick stuff up and tracking down the manager, I put my notice in. I am finally escaping the clutches of the evil WalMart. My last day is September 28th. I have reserved the right to walk out if they piss me off too much, and the big reset of my entire department that I was nice enough to hang around and help with...pfft.

October is gonna be really tight, money wise. But, once the paychecks start coming in regular...

This means I'll actually be able to eat better, get the new computer that doesn't keep crashing out all the time, and come to GenCon next year and have the ability to REALLY hit the Dealer's Hall.

Giddy. That's the word for how I feel. It's been a long time since aI felt this good. An added bonus...I get home, tell 'em the good news, and waiting for me is a packet from Jeff.

Today is a good day. Bill Cosby good.
