TOPIC: The ongoing saga...

Re: The ongoing saga... 16 years 7 months ago #13

Its the people that take the time. I had a background check take more than a year to get going. Once it was finally reviewed, I think it took less than two months (or, probably, two days or weeks). It took more than a year, however, to get idiots to do their job - wait, I did it for them. Oh well....

Congratulations, Don! Way to go!!!

Keep us updated.

JKW

This story sound like what happened when I applied for a job at Lockeed skunkworks. The job require a Top Secret clearance.

The interview was fun:

Me: "What sort of work will I be doing?"

Them: "We cant tell you".

Me: "Will I be working in a team or by myself?"

Them: "We cant tell you".

Me: "Main Frame computers or PCs?"

Them: "We cant tell you".

Them: "Oh by the way, once we offer you the job, it will take us 6 months to process your security clearance, so you won't start working for us until then."

At that point I thanked them and headed for the exit.
