TOPIC: BattleBots Tournament Bracket Competition

Does anyone else in the community love BattleBots and want to play a game with the tournament bracket? I'm absolutely obsessed with the show and the competition, and have no idea how many other like minded people there are out there.

Here are my thoughts. Everyone fills in their brackets with their picks and pays an entry fee into the pot, something like $10-$20. Then we watch the tournament unfold, it'll probably be about three weeks. You are scored based on how accurate your bracket is, and whomever has the high score at the end takes the pot. If more than ten people sign up we instead have a first and second place, with the pot split 70/30.

Scoring would be as follows: 1 point for every predicted win in the round of 32. 2 Points for every predicted win in the round of 16. 4 points for every predicted win in the round of 8. 8 points for every win in the round of 4. 16 points for accurately picking the champion. Please note we are predicting wins, not matchups, so if you predicted a bot wins in the round of 32 against Bot B and then wins in the round of 16 against Bot C, but he actually wins against against Bot B in the round of 32 and then Bot D in the round of 16 because D beat out C and advanced instead, you still get 1 point for predicting the first win and 2 for predicting the second.

This is still pretty tentative, so please let me know if you're interested, and if you'd be happy with these rules.

As soon as the tournament lineup is released I'll copy it and send to everyone to make their picks.

The bracket has been revealed. We can't do a competition with just two people though, I'd want at least 4 to make this fun. Are there any other fans of robot fighting time?
