TOPIC: Initial Event Listing

So, i got an email with GHC's initial game list. I noticed two things. First, only Odin's Haven and Vault of the All-Father were being offered. Will N1 not be offered at GHC? Second, the price for each run was listed as $2. Great deal if it sticks.

Can I assume TD tickets for GHC will be offered through td.events and not to take anything in their list too seriuosly?

Of course I was filtering for TD, so maybe N1 was there and didn't filter right.

As of right now, we are only going to be offering N2 and N3 at GHC. This could change to the addition of N1 if we get enough volunteers signed up by July 20th, but don't hold your breath.

Tickets will be available through GHC website starting July 28th -- and NOT td.events.

The cost will be $58.

Wow, this is definitely not what I understood about the planning of GHC. I wonder if others were thinking what I was thinking.

Will there be a plan to include N1 at Origins next year?

you have to have volunteers to run the show.

I appreciate the reply and totally understand the need for volunteers. But I do know friends who decided that rather than fighting the horde for Gen Con tickets they could still do the dungeons at GHC, get max xp and save some money. I have no doubt you'd be more than happy to do all 3 dungeons if you had the volunteers. There will be some unhappy people.

Sorry to say that everything depends on volunteer numbers for all shows. Keep spreading the word about volunteer all!

Perhaps we can run N1 and N2 at PAX South. Again, it all depends on volunteers and logistics.

Thanks for your input. I'd love to run all 3 at GHC and PAX South, but it is hard to say now what we can do.

Feels like we're in a lag phase far as volunteer growth. Before you had a lot of vets that said absolutely due to being the 1st time at a new show. Now that we're established the immediate onus has passed.

Felt and looked good to see new faces in the volunteer crowd at Origins but also realized I'm still one of the few 'local's despite being hours away. Origins went well aside from one very very long day of teardown. We learn and move on.

Curiosity, is it lack of teardown folks or lack of main dungeon volunteers (coaches/dm's/npc's) Jeff?

I'm hoping that maybe some sort of hotel deal could be worked out to help encourage more teardown/setup volunteers at 'smaller or non Gen Con cons'.

It is really both types of volunteers. We need LOTS of locals and normal event staff to pull off a big event at GHC. Fingers crossed!

I didn't realize there was a volunteer deadline for GHC later this month. Perhaps worth a mention in a volunteers newsletter? I'll see if I can commit to at least part-time volunteering.

I am sending out a special broadcast on many channels this week, but since it is a holiday week there is probably some challenges there.

I am sorry you are not using your new site... I thought at Origins you got it working great with just a few quirks left to resolve. I especially liked your ability to transfer tickets. Will GHC be using paper tickets?

What is the most critical area of need, if any?
