TOPIC: San Japan - XP for Con-Quest: The Golden Obelisk?

Will the four room dungeon that will be done at San Japan, Con-Quest: The Golden Obelisk, provide XP for players that have played in previous dungeons?

Would be good to get this answer for sure. The Con Quest at Gencon last year Barb Beard's Treasure did offer XP.

FWIW, XP for the Gen Con 2023 Con-Quest was limited to 850: 650 for entering the dungeon and 50 for surviving each of the four rooms. The run could be played on Normal or Hard Core, but XP was limited to 850 even on HC, if I recall correctly. There was no prohibition on experienced players running Con-Quest or getting XP from doing so (other than the fact it was a sealed-pack dungeon with only 3 treasure/run, which was a disincentive to doing it more than once).

Same Conquest is at Origins, GenCon and San Japan.

You're totally right, level 6 players got 4 draws, not 3. (Still, hard to justify doing Con-Quest multiple times for 4 treasure. Better to do it once for the XP, and leave more slots for new recruits!)

I did the run with a forum group, and another with some friends. A couple were newbies. Not sure if they'll be playing again.

Remember a player can only get XP from a dungeon once. So a player can run “The Golden Obelisk” at all three in-person cons, but the XP system will only accept one entry for XP.

Will there be a San Japan post created?
