TOPIC: Board/Card Gaming at Celebration

Since there will be an open gaming area set aside on site for Celebration, I wanted to see if there were any others interested in helping to set up a board gaming area. I'm currently researching out to Envoy Heralds ( www.dexposure.com/envoy/ ) to see if any in the area are available to pitch in, but it would be nice to have a small collection of games people can play throughout the day. Those of us flying in will be limited in what we can schlep along, but hopefully the people who are driving or local might have more freedom. While I think that most of the games will be of the pickup variety, it would also be spiffy to see if we can put together groups of people who want to play something more involved.

As far as my collection goes....I have access to most of the Envoy games, either owning them or I can get them if someone is interested in something in particular. I was thinking it might be best to focus on social/group games since those are usually flexible on the number of people they can accommodate and are easy to learn. This would include things like Telestrations, all the various werewolf variants, Dead Last, J'Accuse, Good Cop Bad Cop, etc.

So, any interest?

Definitely interested in board gaming.

One of the times I've laughed the hardest in my life was playing Telestrations with TD people after the dungeon closed. Went and bought it the next day in the Exh Hall. This was when we were back in the Marriott.

I know we've out grown it but I miss the Marriot. It was a great venu.

Any chance you have Lords of Waterdeep (with or without the Scoundrels of Skullport expansion) which you could bring?

I've brought mine to Cons in the past, and it doesn't travel well in airplane luggage (cursed baggage handlers and their bag-shaking ways!) so I'm not taking it along this time.

That's one I actually don't have a copy of. It fell in that gap where I had tried to stop buying board games and when I signed up with Envoy and started pimping them and so got tons more for free. I have a lot of worker placement resource builder type of games like that...Agricola, Fresco, Village, etc, but nothing themed specifically with D&D.
