Wow - I can't recall exactly what happened last year, but there are only 16 TD events with any tickets left right now, 5 of which are Grind.

The main dungeons have only 12 spaces left!

It was fast last year, but not this fast. I think it a day or two to get to this point.

This year everything seemed to go a little faster than last year. I guess the price increase really didn't detract many people. I know one friend who was trying for a group of 9 tickets and struck out for the first time ever.

After the first pass Team Synergy was shut out of Moongate Maze. After a few hours of the wish list/cart shuffle, we finally got one.

I suspect there's a couple things at play, here:

1) This is GenCon's 50th. There's a lot of folks who are pulling out the stops for this year... so they're coming to the event where they might have skipped, or spending the time & energy to play some big ticket events which they've missed out on in past years.

2) Patrick Rothfuss. He's got a lot of fans who are eagerly awaiting his next book, and the chance to play in his world and experience some of the characters/creatures is too alluring to pass up. So people who might not have given TD a though previously are shelling out for it this year.

Obviously, whatever the draw, it was more than enough to offset the price increase this year.

Congrats, Jeff!

I released a 10 person Moongate Maze run for Thursday when we found out ONE person had all the runs we wanted in his selection!

Gone.

As of now, at least, there are zero tickets left.
