Re: first pick-

There was a thread I can't find where everyone agreed that the level 3 "first pick" perq is not absolute. A player must arrive in the coaching room X minutes before the time stamped on their ticket, or it is forfeit and they have to pick from whatever class is left.

But, whatever X is, I can't find the thread, and it obviously didn't make it onto the website.

Thanks for all the input. Yeah, I am pretty flexible on my class, although I would prefer one of the combat classes, including rogue, one of the other classes would not be awful. I just don't know how great I will be with memorization. I can learn concepts, but have always had a hard time remembering names, and dates and things like that.

I played my first 2 years as a bard. Only a few rares that I got through trading the GP from my pack. Right when I was getting ready to drop a lot of money on the bard build I jumped in a group as the barbarian and never went back. Make sure you try a couple different classes before investing. There is so much awesome about true dungeon. So many different ways to experience it and different parts of it.
Not much that can't be fixed with a big stick.

Don't stress the memorization. It only means the difference between a couple points of extra damage or healing... it's not necessarily a game changer. I play a combat based Elf Wizard and I don't do the skill check... I just take the lower damage with those spells. It's all about having fun.

Chris is spot-on. After the 2016 class changes, the difference in every case is a "whopping" 3 points--certainly nothing to fret about. :)
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

Not necessary. I did buy a $250 Ultra Rare value pack... However just picking up tokens you will need for your build is WAY cheaper and probably the better route for your first time.

Now if you're like me and just enjoy opening packs to see what you get it's a must to buy some.

If you think "getting it wrong loses me healing/damage," you'll stress out. Think "getting it right means I get a bonus" makes it easier.

You're talking to addicts. :)

Totally optional. But, sure. More tokens is better. If you're buying a pack or two, get them onsite to save the $5 postage.

Cant hurt but by no means required. Also depends what your goals are.

If your just thinking of a couple packs picking up specific rares from the shops in the trade section is likely going to be more cash efficient. If your thinking of getting into larger numbers of packs then you have to consider URs and stuff (but again it depends how overboard you want to go right off, no need to rush things).
Semper Gumby, Always flexible.

Sartre sits in in a coffee shop and asks for a coffee without cream. The barista apologizes “Sorry, we don't have any cream. Can I offer you a coffee without milk instead?”

Lol... I definitely understand. As stated above if you only plan on buying a few I would get them on site to save shipping. If you are going all in there's always the Ultra Rare value pack which will get you an UR of your choice from the last 2 years and plenty of gold and other stuff you can use to trade for other items you may want/need.
