TOPIC: [CLOSED!] Extra Life Charity Auction! Relics and Tinker Toys (including #37!!)

I gotta say, joining up with the True Dungeon community has been a pretty great thing so far. I've participated in a number of auctions over the last 5-6 weeks and as things come in I realize something:

Some stuff's gotta go.

Why? Well, partially because I ended up with some duplicate tokens but also because I think some people are super, SUPER generous around these parts and asked if I would be interested in auctioning off some spiffy tokens. I think they asked because I have a history of doing charity stuff, but it's entirely possible that I just happened to be the lucky person in their line of sight as they were cleaning up their token collections. Who knows?

AT ANY RATE.

Extra Life and I have some history. During my years on the D&D Adventurers League team I raised a "fair chunk" for them (on more than one year we clowned the internal D&D team, too). It's a solid organization that renders aid to some of the most vulnerable people in our lives: kids. Specifically, Extra Life provides funds and goods to those kids that are stuck long-term in the hospital, specializing in games, toys, and making sure that these kids have the ability to do "normal kid" things despite their current status. This is my sixth year supporting the cause, and I plan to do it for many more to come!

AUCTION RULES
This should all be pretty familiar, but here goes:

◦ Bids should be sent to me via PM
◦ The winning bid is the lesser of the 2nd highest bid + the bid increment and the highest bid.
◦ You must bid at least the current bid + the bid increment
◦ Bid increment on items less than $100: $1
◦ Bid increment on items greater than or equal to $100: $5
◦ Bids are in USD
NOTE: All bids must be divisible by the increment in place for their bid tier.

Once your bid is received I will send you a PM confirming it with your Dragonlance-themed moniker. I will regularly update the auction with currently winning bids, as work and life allows. But at minimum, daily, unless extenuating circumstances prevent it.

If multiple bidders bid the same amount, the earliest bids win..

Any ties will be resolved by whichever tying bidder submitted their very first bid as the winner.

AUCTION END
This auction will end on Friday, December 9th, at 10 PM Eastern. Caveat:

◦ If there are technical difficulties with TD forums (or elsewhere) within 1 hour of the end auction time all open items will be extended 1 hour, open to all bidders.
- NOTE: There will be no 24 hour extension for this auction.

AUCTION PAYMENTS
Payment will be handled by Extra Life. I don't want to touch your money at all during this transaction. This is charity, and it's FOR THE KIDS!! All winning bids will have 48 hours after the close of auction to provide payment. If there are any unpaid item(s), after the allowed time, the bidder will forfeit their items and I will pay the residual and keep the items myself. AUCTION SHIPPING
In the US, I'll cover shipping and insurance. Outside the US, we'll negotiate via PMs but it'll be in your favor.

AUCTION REWARDS
While I can't promise that you'll have your winnings before Christmas, please know that it's entirely because of the USPS. They're already working hard, and I'll expedite as much as I can! Your shipping will include tracking by default and signature confirmation if you request it.

SPECIAL UPDATE: AUCTION THRESHOLDS
As indicated in my first response on this thread, we've crossed the first threshold. Thresholds might be the number of unique bidders, the number of bids placed, or the running total of the winning bids. There are plenty of these, and each threshold we cross means that I send everyone that has placed a bid a code for us on dmsguild. This code will get you a free D&D 5e adventure or piece of content that I've written. I can't comp someone else's work, so I hope that you enjoy my stuff!

I love this community so much for so many great give-back initiatives going on!

We're nearly 24 hours in, and we've had some decent bids. Multiple folks in the running for #37 (no surprise there!) and the class necklaces are all WELL under typical market value!

I know there's some auction fatigue combined with the impending holidays, but I truly appreciate each and every one of you.

ALSO! Special notice time! We've crossed the first of my bid thresholds, so everyone that's placed a bid will be receiving a little D&D surprise via PMs later tonight. When we cross the next threshold I'll deliver a second, different gift.

Sneaking up on the close of day 2, and we've managed to hit Threshold 2! Everyone that's placed a bid so far has received another dmsguild code from me - and it's for a different product from yesterday

Sturm Brightblade came in, as is his namesake, swinging hard. He's taken the lead on several items - will you let me stay there? Let's find out as the next few days unfold!

Day 3 came to a close and we're getting very, very close to the typical resale price for those necklaces - and just look at #37! Minotaurs are in high demand, that's for sure.

So yeah, that's a bit intense but let's be real: sick kids need all the help they can get.
