First of all, $60 for 12 class cards?!? %^$# you for trying to gouge unsuspecting people!

But more importantly, how did this person come by ALL TWELVE 5th level class cards? I see two cards that have marks on them. Did this person steal the other 10?
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

Yea I saw this auction. Rip off. As for the cards, I do remember when we finished our runs, both times the person handing out treasure chips told us we could keep the player cards if we wanted.

You may be right, perhaps the coach brought the stack of 5th level cards, and this person took the ones they weren't playing. No way to tell for sure, but the lack of marks on them is suspicious. Although I did make it through one Druid run this year having only cast one spell I think.

we had a paladin make it through IDD puzzle (hardcore) without ever using a single ability too...

No idea exactly how this particular individual got them but when I was at GC this year, one guy handed me a 4th lvl bard card and three 4th lvl Paladin cards. None of them had any marks on them either. I am working towards getting one full set of 4th and 5th level cards. I kept the Paladin card that was in the best shape and threw the other three away.

Buying tokens off of ebay is risky at best. If someone wanted to pawn off counterfeit tokens, ebay would be the best place to do it. That's why I only buy my tokens from TD Tavern and other reputable dealers. The LAST thing I want is to spend a lot of money only to find out that I had been scammed.

Know what's really scary? The seller of this auction has 315 feedbacks with a 100% feedback rating. Even if he came by the cards honestly, $60 is a total rip. How does someone rip people off like that and get a 100% feedback rating??

I am a big believer in "What goes around comes around". Go around ripping people off like this and it WILL come back to haunt you.

buying tokens is fine if you know who you are buying. Many forumites use ebay. They will even oost about on the forums.

Gettung two set of cards would be easy. Run 12 runs or run twice with 6 people or all the combinations in between.

Or just walk around the storyscspe a few times, lots used cards get abandoned. The marker typically comes off rather easily with a bit of nail polish remover and a paper towel.

As to the selling of those cards its super sketchy but perhapse the owner doesnt know any better. Maybe someone just handed him a bunch of stuff they got at gencon and said ebay these for me. Honestly who knows.

Just print them off the TD site!

We have a full set but that was over the years of doing different classes!

I don't think selling these is sketchy at all. The asking price is silly - but people try to sell random junk like this all the time from cons (badges, promotional post cards, whatever).

As mentioned above, you can get permanent marker off this kind of surface pretty easily, so I wouldn't read anything into the markings not being there.

Actually it's even easier than that. I've just licked my finger and rubbed the marker off of my 3rd level spell in the dungeon when the cleric recharges it for me. Now granted, that is often only a few minutes after the mark has been initially applied, but it seemed dry.

Why would you do that?

Restore spell requires you to use the restored spell immediately on the next round - you can't bank it for later.

But yeah - you can get out even permanent dried marker by overwriting it with dry erase, the dry erase will somehow interact with the permanent and both will wipe away..
