Nothing more dangerous than a smirking DM...
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

As long as I have all the pieces of them, yes! But hunting for bits, trying to figure out what's a clue and what's not... that keeps me up late at night. Sometimes off & on for years.

What is a cypher? Does Jeff mean a decipher, as in translating?

???... !!!

Cypher circles
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamming_(dance)#Cypher_circles

"Specific to the b-boying culture, cypher circles hold the similar concepts as jam circles. When one or two bboys/bgirls get together to dance, it is known as jamming. But when enough bboys/bgirls get together to make a circle where one can break in, it is known as "cyphering". Cyphering takes place at nearly every bboying jam that takes place. It is a way to show one's experience, the flavor they put into their style, and in some cases, specifically to "burn" or "smoke" another breaker."

OK.. So Dungeon Dance Off! Got it... Send in the Bards!!

A lot of people confuse codes and cyphers. They are not the same thing. I'm sure that Jeff is using the term correctly.

See Wikipedia for a non-dance-related reference.

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cipher

As you can see, if he meant to say "code," we're pretty much doomed.
